Madeleine hesitated. "I would show you... but I'm not really allowed in the boys dorms... I suppose it wouldn't count if I just pointed the room out to you from the corridor, though."

"That could work," grinned Lee, jumping up off the couch and stretching.

Madeleine smiled at him, before also standing up and leading him over to the boys dorms. What should she say now? What were you supposed to say after you first full conversation with someone who used to be your boyfriend but now doesn't remember that? d**n good question. She pushed open the door to the boys corridor, and standing on the threshold of it, pointed down towards his dorm. "That one there."

"Thanks," Lee smiled at her and stepped past, his feet light on the thick carpet. He followed the familiar route of about five steps to his door, then stopped, to turn and look at her. Perhaps if he still remembered... that is, if he'd never had that thing take control of him and wipe his mind clean... perhaps he would've gone back, and kissed her. Or maybe he would've just hugged her, or promised her to take her out some time tomorrow; somewhere romantic. If he felt corny, he could have told her he'd been dreaming of her tonight. Maybe... maybe if he'd felt really corny, and reckoned a kiss would come out of it, he would've told her he loved her. And who knows? He may even have meant it. But Lee didn't know who that guy was. Lee didn't share in his memories, thoughts or feelings, and didn't have a past with Madeleine. Sure, she was a sweet, fun, pretty girl. But he didn't know her. She wasn't his. "Bye," Lee said simply, and left her standing alone.
