Without waiting for an answer, she had grabbed his wrist and twisted his arm sharply and forcefully backwards.

A stream of colourful words fell forward- fast and ugly- shocking him so much he jerked his wrist out of her manacle-like grasp. He didn't know where the words had come from, but he did know his hand hurt like absolute hell.
"Christ," he said blankly. "Ow."
