"Oh, right, you're Madeleine," Jack said darkly, looking back at Olivia. "Thank god for you. You actually remind what a girl is."
Lee laughed reluctantly. "It's okay, Maddie," he said quickly, catching sight of the look on her face. "I'm can be a bit sissy, apparently. We balance each other out."

Madeleine laughed, sliding down the arm of the chair onto his lap, before cooing across at Jack, "Jealous, much?"

Olivia rolled her eyes and jumped onto Jack's lap, ignoring Madeleine's sarcastic "Like you had to ask."
Jack's arms slid around her waist as she lay back against him. "Sarcasm is the last resort of the mentally bankrupt," she remarked.

Watching Olivia's arms snake over Jack's shoulders to behind his neck, Madeleine bent down to whisper in Lee's ear, "Should we leave while they're distracted, now?"
