Madeleine slid her arms around Lee and kissed his cheek. "That's so sweet," she murmured in his ear. Destiny... fate... the words usually sounded hokey coming from Madeleine in casual conversation. But when Lee used them, like that, it sounded so much sweeter to her ears. And she didn't care what Jack or Olivia said.

Awesome. Lee had been joking when he'd said that- but he guessed his sister had told him the truth. Girls liked to hear those sort of stupid things- the kind of things that sound all... 'soul matey'. Lee didn't believe in soul mates. Yikes, no. The best he could ever really do was turn around to Maddie and say, "I don't need to believe in soulmates. I have you." Hey! That could work... "Stick your tongue down her throat," Jack advised, smirking at Lee. "Come on, don't be prudish! This is your chance!"

Keeping her arms around Lee's neck, Madeleine rolled her eyes at Jack. "No one can kill a moment like you, Jack."

"Kill?" Jack scoffed. "I rather see it as an enhancement of the moment..." Lee privately admitted it- but he did kind of agree. But he knew better than to say it aloud. "Enhancement?" Lee chose to tease instead. "Where'd you learn a big word like that, Jack?"

"I taught him," Olivia whispered, placing a finger to her lips. "But ssh."

Lee rolled his eyes. "Careful. His brain can't cope with too many facts at once." Jack hung his head. "It's true. I'm a one-thought guy. And that thought's usually either sex, sports or food." "It's quite sad, really," Lee said gently. "You kiddin'?" chortled Jack. "It's awesome."

"Aren't they the usual thoughts of most guys?" Olivia mused. "Usually," Madeleine piped in. "At least, the ones I grew up around. Actually, that's a lie - if I'm talking about my brothers friends, it was sex, sports, food or bikes."

It was as if they'd practiced it... "Aah... bikes..." The sigh was completely in unison, and the two friends cracked up at the sound of themselves. "I'll be pulling one out sooner or later," Lee told Jack happily. "Any model you want, I'll conjure up." "Hmm... something big, I suppose," Jack muttered. "How much could you hunk up the ignition?" "Aye, you'd be wanting the whole technicalities thing?" "Just get me something with over 104 hp and I'll be fine," winked Jack.

Madeleine chuckled at that. As it happened, Madeleine knew (illegally) how to ride a motorbike. She also knew how to fix almost anything with an engine. Except maybe a plane, or a cruise liner (small motor boats were no problem). It came from living your life on the road. "So, if it broke, would either of you know how to fix it?" she asked, raising an eyebrow quizically.

There was a brief moment of total blankness. "Um.. I guess Jude's a metal bender," Lee said slowly, glancing at Jack for help. Jack just shrugged. "Can't be too hard, can it? I mean... I know a few guys who could probably help us out..." "We can learn," smiled Lee at Maddie.

Madeleine snorted. "Pathetic. Call yourselves men? Can either of you fix a car, then?"

"I never had a car," Lee told her sheepishly. "I have wings, remember? Well, so did my dad. And superstrength. Came in handy for the school runs." "Mal did, but he's dead posessive," Jack said darkly. "Didn't get a chance to look."

Madeleine chuckled. "Well, when you get a car or a bike - you'd better learn, or you'll totally get screwed over by a mechanic."

"Metal bending doesn't always help," Madeleine warned. "But whatever. I'll fix your bike for you... if you're nice to me."
