Lee took her advice. Pulling away from her a few seconds later, he frowned. "Doesn't that seem a bit rude? Just whenever I feel like it, turn around and kiss you? Without any warning? At all?"

"Well, as long as I'm not in the middle of a sentence or something," she amended. "Don't you like that idea?" Of course he wasn't about to debate it. After all, he was a teenage guy.

"I'm holding you to that one," Lee mused, kissing her again. "Yeah. Definitely." Again. "Definitely have something good going for me here. This rule's unbreakable- yes? And you know, it works vice versa too..." Or it should. He trailed off, and kissed her again.

Madeleine pulled back, smiling. "Unbreakable. Except in the presence of parents, yes?" She leaned forward and kissed him.

"Yes," he agreed, weakly. Good God, yes. Pulling Madeleine closer, he leant backwards on the couch, with her resting against him, he kissed the top of her head once, and then drifted off into silence. Remember, remember, the 5th of November... ... for I see no reason why gunpowder, treason should ever be forgot. Funny little rhyme, that. After all, it hardly screamed, "Happy birthday, Lee!"... But still, it was his. And so was she. So was she. And he would never, ever forget that...
