Will smiled a satisfied one. The wind was picking up but she was quite content on staying out here. "So," Will mused at was going through her mind, "Hey Jack, do you ever think about the future?"

"The future?" He snorted, a little in surprise at what she had just asked him. It was so vague; so weird. So random. By now, though, he'd grown used to that aspect of Will. Her thoughts always seemed so scattered; but he guessed it was sort of cute. Sometimes, he really wondered what caused her to ask the questions and say the things she did. "Sure," he shrugged, indulging her. "Lots. Like about me and Olivia."

*Yeah, yeah, like that," she agreed, this was nice, "What kind of things do you think about?" She liked talking to Jack. Things just seemed to come to her so easily and able to keep the conversation flowing. Even if some of the things she said were quite....random!

He rolled his eyes. "Babies and marriage, obviously."

Will was rolling. She never took Jack to be the type to think that. Once she had got a bit of sontrol over herself she stared up at him. She burst out laughing again. "I'm sorry, I just didn't take you the type for thinking about that sort of stuff," she gasped. She felt a lot warmer now. She rolled her eyes at herself. Yo! Get a grip on yourself!

Jack was a bit stunned. He hadn't expected that reaction! "I was being freaking sarcastic!" he choked, a little horrified. "I don't actually think about babies and marriage!" Oh, god, if Will took him seriously... ... what if she told some of his mates on the team? Aw, Christ. He'd never live it down.

Will looked at him, totally calm now. She could see his eyes, something deep behindd them. "Either way it doesn't matter what you think about and even if you were sarcastic, it's not like I was going to tell anyone about it. I know if I thought the same things I would'nt want it spilled to the world," she shrugged and grinned. The clouds were getting slightly heavier with each breath she took. She sank down to the gorund and put her head in her knees.

Jack stood over her, then, feeling suddenly awkward in his height compared to her small frame. He sank to the ground beside her, leaning back on the gnarled root of a tree that was encroaching on the path. "So..." Jack said slowly. "Er... what do you think about, then?" Well, she'd asked him the question, hadn't she?

Will took the question into consideration and thought carfully of her answer. "The same but vith oter bits too, like vondering ven I'll die, ven I'll get married or if I'll even have children. Vat job I'll get. You know and also how I can help change the world ve live in for the better even if it's a really tiny difference it might help," she gave a crooked smile. "You know my mum vas a doctor before she died. She vas very gentle with everyone and everyone liked her and thanked her. My dad vas in the crime department before he vas murdered. He vas going to be promoted that month," she told him in a light voice.

"Oh... sorry." ... Brilliant. What was she doing bringing up her godforsaken orphan status? You know, because Jack didn't already feel awkward! And Jack wished he could empathize with her, he really did... ... but Jack kinda hated his parents. That made it hard.

She looked at him and his expression and smiled. "Cheer up!" she nusdged him playfully. She rolled her eyes abnd then decided to climb the tree. "How's the rugby coming then?" she decided to get a topic that she knew he probably might feel up for talking about.

Jack bit his lip, thinking of Craig, and thinking of Cole. As little as Craig was... and as... as terrible a replacement as he was bound to turn out to be... The thought of letting Cole anywhere near the pitch again made his blood run cold. "I'm gonna be holding try-outs, I think," Jack said slowly. "Soon. I need a replacement fullback."

Will stared at him blankly. She knew very little about rugby and heard he had kicked someone of the team but that was it. "Oh," was all she could think of. Her face remained blank but her eyes were full od confusement and concentration.

"Know anyone who might be interested?" he asked her.

Will thought for a moment. Was there anyone she knew who would be interested. "Vell that depends what year group you vant in it," she tried to put f her answer while she thought about it.
