Jet lay on his back comfortably and looked up. This was probably one of the first nights that the stars were actually appearing, due to no clouds, and the moons light was making the lake look like a whole new world where you could live. But the only thing he could really look at where the stars. And all he could think to do after a while was look for the constalations but instead the only constalation on his mind, was his love. The star that never faded before his eyes and never left him alone at night or day. Always shone as bright as ever. Tamika. And he still hadn't gotten her a thing for Valentine's yet. But he had no idea what she liked or didn't like. He didn't want to be too cliché. Chocolates? Too lame. Jewellery? Too expensive and I'm not buying her the cheap fake crap. Flowers? What if she has hayfever? Writing your own song? Nah too- wait that might be a good idea actually. I can make romatic but not too cheesey. As he pondered over what to get her he heard a movement behind him but ignored it. He was already making up the composition and then later start to make up the lyrics.

Tonight was a strange night for Tamika. For the first time in a good while, she had no work to do, no shifts and nothing else in general that needed to be done. So she had now gone onto the point of being bored, which was unlike her. She had wandered a few corridors for about half an hour, hoping to spot a ghost she could help or something, but there was nothing. She was then - for reasons completely unknown to her - tried to use her shine to find out about the school buildings past, but it wasn't playing tonight. Around 8.30, she had returned to her bedroom to check on a painting she was waiting to dry. Tamika was currently feeling the credit crunch hard, and so the only present she could think of for Valentines day was a painting of a dragon wrapping itself round a lotus flower. How that represented love she didn't know, but it looked pretty awesome. After checking the painting, she went over to the wardrobe and lifted out her white Etnies jacket. Slipping the jacket on over her blue Cookie Monster t-shirts, she slipped her phone into her pocket and decided to go check out the roof. Climbing up the small staircase, Tamika didn't really expect to see anyone else up there, not on as cold a night as this. To her surprise though, there was a greatly familiar boy lying on the ground staring up at the stars. She stood at the door leading onto the roof terrace for a moment smiling to herself. As silently as she could, Tamika went over to Jet and sat down beside him, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "You'll catch your death up here."

He recognised her walking before she camed into his peripheral vision. His cheek was left warm by that one smal peckand then her voice came to his ears. "You'll catch your death up here." He smiled and grabbed Tamika by the waist and pulled her right beside him so there was no space left between them. Brushing her hair gently fomr her face he spoke to her low and softly. "Well as long as they're my last minutes with you, I couldn't care less," then his lips connected to hers and it was only supposed to be quick kiss but his lips had other plans. Finally he broke away and gazed into her eyes for another minute before looking at the stars; her eyes were all his could see before long. "What brought a certain bird up here tonight then?" he asked rasing an eyebrow and hugging her closer than usual, "considering you can't really die from the cold, I take it that's not what brought you up here. So, then it must have been my pull," he flashed his teeth and her white teeth at his reply was dazzling. "Like the jacket by the way,"

Tamika hadn't expected to be pulled down by Jet, so an involuntary yelp escaped her lips. She felt her stomach do some form of aerobics when he brushed a strand of her hair away. After he spoke and then kissed her, she pretty much died of happiness. The end. Not really, obviously. She gave a little growl of irritation when he pulled back from the kiss. After he turned his head away, she buried her head in the crook of his neck. With a sigh, she lazily looked up at him when he asked why she was up on the roof. "Boredom. Like, none of my gifts are working tonight, it's really boring. How come you're up here?" Tamika's inner geek took over when Jet said something about a pull, "What, so you're all of a sudden the Enterprise with a tractor beam? And you could die from the cold, because you could get pneumonia, so nuh!" Being childish was probably Tamika's favorite past time. She glanced quickly down at the jacket she had put on then smiled, "Thanks, it's one of the old-faithfuls."

Chuckling, his hand trailed up and down her arm. When had he ever been so close to someone? Answer: he hadn't....not after the crash. "Tammy, Tammy, Tammy," he said shaking his head and chuckling again, "Don't you ever grow up, I couldn't stand it if you did. I love your childish ways," He started humming one of Mozarts compositions to himself until he lifted her hands and saw the paint on them. He laughed and looked up at her eyes. "Get into a fight with the paint troopers again Tamika? I must say, it's not very fair if they let you win all the time," he pulled her on top of him and just gazed into the eyes. Twilight.

Tamika let a frown briefly cross her face when Jet told her not to grow up. She knew he meant it in a joking way, but that went so much deeper for her than he would ever know. She hadn't really told him in detail about her Shining, or just what it was doing/going to do to her mental state. So he really would have childish Tamika for as long as he knew her. She smirked. "Actually, I was paintballing, but I held the gun the wrong way round," Tamika laughed, glancing at her paint-y hands. She could notice the curve of the dragons tail printed on the side of her thumb from where she leant on the canvas by accident. With a raised eyebrow as if to say 'what the buck?', Tamika leant forward and kissed Jet again, ever so softly. "So what did bring you up here? I wouldn't have took you for an astronomer."

Why did she frown? "-I wouldn't have took you for an astonomer," Jet glanced at her, why did she end a kiss? "I'm not, but if you haven't noticed, this is the first night in ages that the sky is clear from clouds and the stars are actually showing. I was also looking for inspiration from them, I always have," The tune was complete and he started to work on the lyrics, he hoped to the high heavens she would like it. "Tamika, tell me some more about yourself,"

Tamika awkwardly twisted her head to look up at the sky and noticed he was right. Well, she couldn't really tell about how right he was because she hadn't noticed before about the sky being so cloudy. He took her by surprise a bit when he asked her about herself. It wasn't a subject she was particularly fond of talking about, but thought that if she was going out with Jet now she may as well let him know the basics of her life. "Well..." She started, shimmying round so she was sitting on the ground again, "I grew up thinking that it was my fault my mother had died, but it turned out she hadn't. I was just meant to think that my aunt was my mother. My father had an affair with my mother, who was my aunts sister, but she was too young to keep me. When Feliks died, I was left to think that he was my uncle for a while, before I found out he really was my dad." That was the past out of the way, so at least she wouldn't feel so awkward. She stared down at her shoes for a minute or two, playing with the laces. "I have a little brother called Mikhail. He has the same parents as me, but he never got the made up story because he was born when I moved to Moscow. I had a pet owl, he was amazingly awesome. He died during the summer though when I was in Luxembourg." She stopped again, unsure of how to carry on explaining about herself. She attempted to shoot some sparks from her fingers in order to heat up, but nothing happened. "Uh, I don't know what else to tell you..."

Jet listened to her intently.and had to be honest with himself. Her life sucked. And he felt extremely sorry for her. It didn't seem fair that someone as bright and beautiful as Tamika could have so much crap in her life. "Uh, I don't know what else to tell you..." she looked soo sad. Pulling her against him again he started to stroke her hair. She was cold and he could feel that but he didn't have anything to give her and he couldn't drag heat from the likes of Austrailia to the ground where they were. "Tamika, it's alright. I'm here now," he reassured her, his hand never stopped but the other one came and lifted her ching up so he could kiss her again. The firey sensation began.

Without thinking, Tamika quickly pulled away from Jet and sat up again. She didn't think it would affect her much, but talking about her past seemed to make her really upset. She drew her knees up to her chest and huddles up, resting her chin on her kneecap. She stared into space for a few moments, willing the tears away from her eyes. She went into one of those weird daydreams where you see flashbacks. It was when her father was drunk and telling her everything wrong in his life was down to her, and she could just go die on the streets for all he cared. Blinking again, she came back to the real world and looked down to where Jet was lying. "Oh, hey Jet. When'd you get here?"

What? Did Tamika just have a lapse in memory? "I've been here since 8, Tamika. You just came up here 15 minutes ago, give or take on either side," he stared at her in confusion. Was she playing some lame joke? If so, it wasn't funny at all. "Are you alright Tammy?" he asked pulling her into his arms again and kissing the side of her neck softly. Was there something wrong with her? Was she sick?

Tamika frowned and pulled herself away from Jet, slapping lightly at his arms to get them off of her. She was confused, immensely. Now she thought about it, she had no recollection of coming up to the roof, let alone when. She stood up and blinked a couple of times, not liking this situation at all. She looked down at Jet with frantic eyes and mumbled, "Iguana time?" Obviously, she wasn't meaning was it time to get iguana's. She had meant to say 'What's the time?', and to Tamika, that's what she had said. Scratching her head, Tamika tried to talk to the first person who might know something - Joselie. Alas, nothing happened. "Jet, nothing's working," she told him, panic lacing her voice.

Iguana time? "What, you want an Iguana now? Fine, you'll get one for Valentine's day," after that, Tamika came out with a new comment and a panic attack about to come was written all over her features. "What's not working?" he had no clue as to what had gotten into her all of a sudden. She looked like a lost kid or puppy who was trying desperately to find something to eat or shelter but couldn't. It was kinda adorable though. "Tamika what's going on with you?"

Tamika scowled at Jet and wondered why he was mocking her. "What on earth are you on about iguanas?! I didn't say iguana!" As well as being confused, she was now kind of miffed and kept mutter 'govno' over and over again. "Everything's not working, Jet! It's all stopped working," she shrieked. Without much choice, she started to well up, and a few tears made their way over the side of her eyes. She tried her hardest to make fire come out of anywhere, but it wasn't happening. "I've forgotten it all..." She muttered.

Did-does she mean her powers? Holy sh...eep. How in the hell could that happen? It never happened! Was she poisoned? He would kill whoever did it. He would rip pieces of them of by the joints and... "Tamika? Do you mean your powers sweetheart?" he asked calmly while wiping the glistening horrible wet-ness from her cheeks and eyes. They never belonged their on such a perfect beautiful face. Nor did the torment of panic. He held her hands firmly, "Tammy, tell me. What's going on?"
