Ailith was sitting in the Common Room on one of the loungers facing the fire. She closed her eyes and sank back, feeling utterly relaxed. She was finished with classes and this evening was for ignoring education all together (she did have homework but that was due miles away). Jude was nearby, no doubt doing his homework (ha!) along with some others. She had left Jude in peace to do his work as she would probably talk to him non-stop, making him get a 'U' or something. The door opened and more students came in. Ailith didn't even bother to open her eyes, but judging by the pace of the footsteps and the weight of them, it was Madeleine.

One day, that evil, horrible English teacher would suffer. Madeleine had tried to do her homework, but her temper eventually gave way and she'd slammed Oliver Twist shut, fuming. She loved Dickens, usually - but her teacher was absolutely sucking any life or enthusiasm for the book at all out of her, and Madeleine was now getting sick of Oliver. Her homework would just have to wait until tomorrow night, becuase she did not think that she could finish it without murdering someone. After dumping her bag in her dorm, she'd come down to the common room, which was warm and inviting, especially compared to how freezing it was outside. Madeleine was not in a good mood with the weather at the minute. It was even too cold and wet for her and Lee to go out to their place. But at least the common room was warm. She spotted Ailith, lying back, eyes closed on a chair in front of the fire, and walked quickly over to the warmth. "Hey," she said softly in case she was asleep, sitting down on a chair beside her.

Ugh, what a stupid time to decide to come into his own as an author. Ailith was nearby and she wouldn't so much as look at him. Worse still, Maddox had now arrived, and he couldn't even take the mick out of her for something. Um... stumpy man legs? Wow, Lee wouldn't appreciate that. And in case Jude hadn't noticed, his girlfriend was sort of short too. What if she took it as a derogatory comment against all short women? What if she started a friggin' revolution?! What if him and every other sexist pig on the planet was eliminated and replaced by freaks who held doors open for girls?! What if Jack was forced to remain virgin for life?! These were the thoughts that kept Jude wide awake and trembling at night. Sure, women knew they had power over men. But what if they realized they could work together? All guys everywhere would be doomed! And- Homework, Jude. For chrissake- just ignore them! This sucked. Prof. Gregg deserved to pay. Big time.

"Hi Madeleine." Ailith opened her eyes reluctantly, they flicked toward Jude who was holding his head in his hands but the pen wasn't moving. He was going to be forever. She turned back to Madeleine "How was your day?" Ailith took in more of Madeleine's posture, shoulders tense, and the way she breathed, slow but measured. "You OK? You seem kinda pissed off."

Madeleine rolled her eyes and flopped back in the chair. "I am," she muttered, running her fingers through her hair in a stressed-out gesture. "Will decided to tell me that she thinks that Kira and I's... issue is affecting what might happen to the school, and I'm pissed because she's implying that I'm letting this affect my job, when I've been better with the Warriors than ever..." she broke off with a groan. "Sorry, I need to hit something. Or someone."

P.7. memory... P.7. memory... He'd no idea. What did he see in P.7.? A whole lotta' kids. What did he smell? Kid sweat. What did he touch? Horse poo. It was a cruel dare. What were his thoughts for the future? Oh, hell, I can't wait to get out of this dump... Jude stared at the page for a few more brief seconds, then sighed, clicking the top of his pen. Ouch. That was loud. The pen nib found its way into his mouth, and he twisted and tortured it with his teeth as he thoughtfully turned the pages of his memories. P.7. hadn't been great. What more could he say? Either that... or he could make it up. That was easy. He just had to write a story. What should the story be about? ... dang!

"Ooh. Erm... it's not my place to say and I don't mind if you dismiss this but don't you think you and Kira should well... come to a compromise and get on with it? I mean I know..." Ailith stopped and sighed, to be brutally honest she didn't want to have this conversation, it was between themselves. "Well, unwind 'cause I'm on a chill-out session and I'm not going to have it ruined by" what is guarenteed to end up being a hissy fit "people being annoyed. Join me!" Ailith smiled and closed her eyes once more.

"I'm not the one unwilling to make a compromise," Madeleine sighed, but leant back and started to relax anyway. "How was your day?"

"Eh." Ailith made a passive tone without opening her eyes, "Was OK. Better than yours at any rate." Ailith heard Jude click his pen frustratedly and her mind sparked up a question, "When's the Non-Warriors ban up?"

Just the question she wanted to hear. "I don't know," she replied honestly, rubbing her temple. "I know they don't like it much, but it's their own fault, and I didn't have much other choice." The logic behind that was if they got away scot-free with sneaking into the front line, the Warriors would then start to try and do things their own way...

Ailith half-opened an eye and managed to look skeptic, "Didn't you?" Ailith could think of several different ways to punish them without docking their weapon skills. She didn't get Madeleine's logic. If Madeleine ever needed extra troops she had even less candidates now than ever. Not that Madeleine would take that point. In fact even if she did and changed would Kira still allow her Spies to fight under Madeleine? Ailith had her doubts.

Madeleine shrugged. "There's other choices, of course, but if I let them away with it, then the Warriors will start thinking that they can get away with it - get away with anything. Look at Levi. Even he got a temporary ban."

Ailith frowned, "Get away with what exactly?" She opened both eyes now.

"Sneaking into the front line," Madeleine frowned. "Didn't you know?"

Ailith laughed at that, "Hell yeah. I knew. But that's different, you can't compare Spies to Warriors. Warriors are built to follow orders and stick to them to the end. But a Spy know's how to restrict themselves. You can't just tell a Spy what to to do, it doesn't work like that in real life. A Spy has to be of high intelligence, they need to be fast, agile, strong but versitile. And hell sometimes I wonder why people..." WOOOW! Hold up there sunny Jim don't get too much on your high horse, the head of the group you were about to diss is sitting right there. Ailith looked back at the fire and shooke her head.
