Hiding in the library

[Axel]

Axel sat on an uncomfortable,pine chair by a long,narrow matching table in the library. He was surrounded by bookshelves as the enormous room resembled a maze of old literature. Axel didn't know where about in the room he was,but he had found this sanctuary somehow whilst aimlessly walking through the corridors of books. He was looking for a place where he would be out of the way from the librarian so he didn't have to put up with her breathing down his neck for every noise he made whilst turning a page. The tall bookshelves created long shadows that covered Axel and the table, they seemed to allow only fragments of light and irritated Axel as it caused problems for him to see the words printed onto the pages of the book. His watery blue eyes had lost most of it's electricity from yesterday but were still refined and full of mystery, his hair was the same as it always was, never changing but the dim lighting made his hair turn into a more fair shade of blonde. He was wearing a plain green t-shirt, a pair of baggy pale blue denim jeans and on his feet were a pair of blue all star converse. He rested his head on the palm of his right hand as he stared blankly at the old book, his silver key sat on the table as it hung from his neck on a silver chain. Axel sighed as he sat up and lent back on the chair, he noticed that there was a burnt patch on the table where the key had been resting and there were burnt finger marks on the edges of the pages of the books where he had been turning the page, that was why he needed to find somewhere isolated to read. Axel had pinned his hopes up on finding the information he needed in this huge, tattered hard back book but was disappointed to find that it had nothing to offer him. Getting irritated by this he slammed the book shut and threw it off the table. A loud bang echoed through the room as the book hit the floor, but he didn't care.

Axel looked up, his pale watery blue eyes fell upon a uniquely attractive girl, she was beautiful when it came to physical appearance, but there was something else there also. Something drawing him to her slowly, like a stranger with candy would to a child. He studied her carefully for a second, she was extremely pretty but in a way that reminded him of Alice. He had a friendly feeling towards her, one that he could easily tell that they would be close friends rather than a feeling telling him that they would forever be sworn enemies. He couldn't help it but smile and apologize, 'Oh, sorry. I didn't really mean it to be that loud, did I scare you?"

Axel stifled a laugh as he heard this, he coughed and looked at her. "I didn't go to the dance, I don't see the reason to go to one, after all a tux is itchy and was created to make you look stupid and dances normally turn into cat fights between girls. I'm pretty sure if I did go I wouldn't of probably remembered you either."He smiled in a friendly manner before saying,"Axel."

He laughed and replied, "I'm not sure Rachel, it could be a part of a motorcycle or a fridge freezer." Axel shrugged and and Then ran his fingers down through his hair before continuing,"Then again it could be latin or something...."

Axel nodded and answered coolly,"Of course, since I am nine hundred and fifty-three years, I come from the planet Galifrey, I've died eleven times and I travel through time and space in my ship that is called the Time and relevant dimensions in space or you may simply like to call it the TARDIS"He smirked as he continued, "Thank god you picked a fan, Rachel."

"I deserve an award. He was pretty gay to begin with...."he muttered getting oddly distracted, he paused for a minute as he thought. Axel sighed as he looked at Sophie, "Shoot."he said as he waited for her to tell him what she wanted.
