Will leaned back against the wall in the girl’s showering rooms. She had just got out of the shower and was now in dry clothes. Well, scrubs but they were still clothes and dry. She was meant to be meeting Cass and Cardo in the side room. And she had been here for about half an hour or more. But it wasn’t her fault. She had been frozen and the heat of the shower had been a bit of a shock at the start but her body came to welcome the heat and so she had spent a while in there.
As she leant against the wall she couldn’t help but go back to when they had come in. Cass had been supporting nearly all of her weight, Cardo had been ahead clearing the corridors for them and then when they had reached the Hospital Wing, Nurse Gornray had been there. She’d seen Will. She’d looked with questioning eyes but Will had turned her head away and had walked down the way to the girl’s showers, Cass going halfway with her before turning back. But before she had entered, Will had hesitated and heard all three of them talking. She hadn’t wanted to hear what they were saying about her so she had gone in.
Will sighed and rubbed the towel over her head and hair for the fourth time. She could’ve used the hair dryers there but then that would’ve taken another half an hour for it dry properly and she was just too tired. So she slowly pushed herself from the wall, opened the door and made her way to the side room where they had agreed to meet up again.
She looked in and saw that neither of them were there yet. She sighed half in relief but also a shot of the horrible feeling of being afraid went through her at the same time. She didn’t want to be alone. But she also didn’t feel like talking. Not yet. Then again, she knew it would be better too.
So she twisted the handle and entered the room. She looked around trying to decide where to sit before walking over to the foot of the bed and sitting on the end and crossed her legs and waited for the other two to arrive.
Then she would tell them.
And after she told them..get her...scars seen to before crashing in the on-call room or something.
