Macy walked out of her Elemental Control class, behind the trail of the small group of people in her year who also had the power of ice.
"And remember class, finish those questions!" Professor Parker called out to them. Macy smiled at her, and went out to the corridor. She had a free period now, and felt like going to the library to finish the questions they were doing in class.
She turned round the corner, walking past the stairs that led to the dorms.
"Macy!" Someone from the top of the staircase called down to her. She immediately recognized the accent.
"Steve! Hey!" She waited for him to run down the stairs to her. "How are you?" She asked, when he caught up with her.
"I'm good, I feel kinda weird today, though, they had to hold me down to give me my meds, this morning. Are you okay? You know, since I electrocuted you."
"Yeah, I'm okay, I've had a few headaches since them, but everything's good. Thank you, Steve, thank you, thank you." She put her hands together, and jumped up and down. He laughed slightly, as they walked on.
"You kissed me, Macy." He blurted out.
"I did, didn't I?" She gave out a small, nervous laugh. "Was, um, that okay?"
Steve was silent for a second, when she asked him this.
"Yeah..it was okay...they were cold, you know."
"What were?" She asked him, in slight confusion.
"Your lips. But I'm not saying that they weren't going to be, you control ice..." He said, staring at his feet, his hair washing between blue and a blacky-green.
"Hmm...you're were kinda...static-y, you know." Why on earth was she telling someone how their lips where when she kissed them?
"So, does that mean we're going out?" He asked, looking at her.
"Um, I don't know. I don't anything to ruin our friendship." This would have been the most awkward conversation that she had ever, but it didn't feel like it, though.
"I know. I don't want you to be rushed, or under pressure, or to hate me." His hair was now a very bluey-black colour.
"Of course I don't hate you, why would I? Okay, we don't have to be all boy-friend, girl-friend. We can be close friends, I don't want you to feel all under pressure, or rushed, or whatever, either." she laughed, and put her hair behind her ear.
"I understand."
Macy realised that he was wearing tribal paint on his face, again. Macy smiled at him, at how he does what he wants.
"Where are you meant to be now?" She asked, changing the subject.
"I'm meant to be in English right now."
"You're missing class right now?! Go! Go to class!" She shouted at him. She hated people missing class.
"Okay, okay I'll go!" He ran down the corridor. Macy laughed at him, and shook her head. He was so silly, and she had to say it, she was pleased she knew him.
