Will giggled, "That I am Lee, that I am," she then frowned as well, "Lee, you're strong too, hell, you punched Levi's crummy front teeth out for pity's sake! I would never have been able to do that!"

"Haha, it looked it too," Will gave him a pat on the back. Their eyes met but she looked away almost instantly and was reminded of the night down at the pub. She felt worse now than she had then. She had cheated on Anton and now she was paying for it by having him taken away from her.

Will didn't answer for a couple of seconds.
"I'm sorry," she turned away from him so that her back was facing him and her hair bounced around onto it as she did so.

Lee stood awkwardly behind her, feeling strangely inadequate in the knowledge that Jude would've known exactly what to do. After a few brief seconds, Lee gulped and put a tentative arm around her shoulder.
"Sorry," he said shortly, though he wished he knew why.

Will wanted to run more than ever now, but she couldn't.
"You've got nothign to be sorry for Lee, I have, I kissed you when I shouldn't have I betrayed Anton and made you feel embarassed and awkward and now I'm paying for it like I should be!" Will said furiously. She looked at him and softened her expression.
"You don't need to say anything, you have nothing to apologise for!"

Lee chewed his lip worriedly for a couple of seconds.
"I feel bad too, Will. Madeleine still doesn't even know about our kiss. It's real scary thinking about... about how close I came to losing her. So I can only imagine what it was like for you and Anton."

As Lee said these words they sank right into Will's ears and nestled in her brain.
"I feel awful now...Lee, you're a good friend and I don't want to destroy that but..." Will bit her lip unable to finish due to tears falling of her chin.

"I actually don't know. I've taken a mental blank now," Will rubbed her arms and felt warmth come back into them. It was nothing compared to the warmth of his arms. Of her dead beloved arms.
