Name: Danielle (Danni) Marie Archer
Age: 15 (16-06-93)
Physical Description: Danni is 5’8” with long curly dark hair and dark brown eyes.
Clothing Description: Danni likes quality. She likes top name brands and she’s one of a select few that can afford to have a whole wardrobe full. She will wear any colour, provided it looks good on.
Personality: She’s not quite used to the teasing yet, seeing as she hadn’t got any at home; since Mark left anyway. Thankfully, she doesn’t react how she used to. Now, if she doubts their sincerity, she just hides it away and tries to laugh along. She can be quite spoilt, but then she has had an awful lot of money, and has been allowed to use it. She’s generally quite a happy person, but is still unsure of her position in Orchid, her standing.
History: Danni is from a very wealthy family and she is used to getting exactly what she wants. Before she got her powers, Danielle was extremely satisfied with life. She went to one of the top schools in Europe and has an appropriately envious group of friends. Her daddy doted on her (though that hasn’t changed) and she was the pride of her mother. The only blight on the family was Danni’s older brother, Mark, but no one ever mentioned him. Ever. Danni’s not even entirely sure why. It was several years ago that she last saw him. But she was too young to remember properly what happened. All she remembered was going on holiday for a long time.
So yeah, things were going great; she was happy; she felt she had the perfect life; and then her powers surfaced. She didn’t really notice it at first, just that some of her friends were starting to get better marks, and dress better. Just generally become better. More like her, as she thought. She did not like that. Not one bit. She became very angry all the time. Her friends weren’t hanging onto her every word like they used to. It really frustrated her. But the more frustrated she became, the more the people around her were improved. She couldn’t deal with it and had a major temper tantrum. It was in the school grounds after school and she had caught one of her ‘friends’ with the guy that she currently liked. She started shaking and slapped her friend. Nothing more would have happened probably but one of the guys was smoking. The power over fire had been manifesting but it was only now that it surfaced. She was just so angry and filled with the fear that her perfectly structured world was about to collapse and she was suddenly holding the fire. Holding it in her hands. She screamed, not because it had harmed her, but because she was holding it to begin with. The fire had just stayed on her hands, no matter how she waved them about. The teenagers had all backed off by this point, seriously freaked out. Danielle started whacking her hands against the side of the school building, trying to extinguish the flames but she had no control. All that that accomplished was to set the school on fire.
Horrified, Danielle ran home, crying her eyes out. She still couldn’t extinguish the flames. She couldn’t stop sobbing. After a few hours her dad came and found her and he told her that her school had burned down, but that no one had been hurt. This brought on a new round of hysteria and the flames just got bigger. Naturally her father was seriously worried and he took her into the bathroom and dunked her hands in cold water. That finally got rid of the flames and she was finally able to calm down. Then her dad put her to bad and hurriedly rang up some friends that might have some information on what exactly had happened with his daughter. He was informed of other accounts of talented people. He hung up, incredibly confused. It was a few days after that Danielle got a call from the school to say that she had been accused of starting the fire. They wanted her to talk to the police but her father paid them off. He also paid for the damage done to the school, in the hopes that they would leave them alone. He didn’t want a repeat of what had happened with Mark, especially with this new information. Thankfully the guy at the newspapers was happy with the money he got and the name Archer didn’t feature in the story.
Naturally, despite the money that changed hands, Danielle was asked to change schools. Her father had reluctantly agreed that a change of scenario might be good for her. He did more research and found out about Orchid Hill Academy for the Gifted, and though the fees weren’t as high, he thought it would be for the best. He had Danielle shipped off within a month. She wasn’t the best pleased about the dormitory part in it, and after telling her a new rug was needed. In the end she was placated by her father’s gift of a credit card, to do what she wanted with.
Since she arrived at Orchid she quickly mastered the control of her gifts. She was primarily focused on the enhancement gift – she had been so glad to hear that her friends hadn’t really been better than her, but she was not the most pleased that it had been her fault. She mastered that one quickly – she didn’t want a repeat of that happening. The fire took her a little more time, but she pretty much has that one under control. Orchid has also changed her a bit, more the longer she stays. She isn’t quite as stuck up as before and she has learned a little about the better qualities of a person. She tends to get teased quite a bit, and has somehow been labelled by the pupils as Danni for the most part, but she is finding to her surprise that she likes it.
Gifts: 1. Enhancement – She improves other people’s talents or abilities, for example, someone who can run really fast she can make run even faster. However she cannot enhance her own abilities any further, though she has tried.
2. Fire – Danni can control fire and basically it does what ever she wants. The only drawback is that she can’t create fire – basically, she always brings matches.
3. She can be in two places at once. Literally. Her minds are connected but separated. It is extremely confusing, but it can be extremely useful at times. It was very confusing when it first manifested. It was when she was a child. This power she hasn’t told anyone about. Apart from Mark. Not that he counts anymore. It was her secret. And for the most part, it still is.
Pets: A horse called Maxi.
Other: She likes singing but strictly for recreational purposes. She is also a good horse rider. She also has a flashy car – another present from Daddy, though she technically can’t drive yet...
