((Sorry for it's fail...))
Tamika walked another couple of steps through the forest before stopping and standing on a log, looking out around her. Even she had to admit, taking the evening shift to hunt for injured animals had been a really stupid idea. She pulled the plain black beanie down closer over head and conjured another fireball in front of her for a source of light. "Right now," she muttered to herself, "I could be sitting with a good book in the heat, but no, I'm out here in the dam cold wasting my life." Okay, this was bit harsh, because Tamika did genuinely love her duty of helping to care for living things at the school, but it was dark and cold and unpleasant. Jumping off the log again, Tamika kept the fireball a couple of feet in front of her as she walked, preventing her from tripping anymore than she had to. It was getting eerily kind of quiet - there weren't even any spirits on the prowl. It occured to Tamika that all the animals were either hibernating, dead, or away to sleep, making evening shift somewhat pointless. She took hold of the zip on the front of her Nada Surf hoodie, pulling it about for something to do as she walked. Eventually, she did spot some sort of deer that had been injured. With a few soothing words to make the deer feel safe - although it didn't know what she said, so Lord knows how the soothing worked - Tamika got to work healing it. A couple of minutes later and the deer was back to restored health. It gave her a sort of nudge on her leg, which Tamika presumed to be a thanks. She kept on walking on her course after the deer scampered off, but when she came to another fallen tree trunk she sat down this time and took a few swigs from her water bottle. Although she tried to keep fit, Tamika wasn't up for all this walking business. Pulling up her hood, Tamika lay back on the tree and started singing to herself, "We were only seventeen, we were holding back our screams. Like we'd torn them from some pages of a girly magazine..."

So this was the famous Orchid. Well famous for some. Infamous to others. Dimitri was in the 'some' category. The forest was eerie and dark and the sound of the light breeze blowing through the trees added to it. Nobody was around, which was making him strangely anxious for some reason. The war that was raging on between the school and the army was pointless to him, just like the other wars he'd been in. He'd never seen the point but he also knew that without them some things would still be a crap as ever. There was a slight opening up ahead and some sort of flickering light was coming from it. A student was actually out here? Slowly but surely he faded into his translucent self, hoping he'd slip past them...it was rare but not unheard of for someone to see ghosts and considering this was an academy for magical students and teachers then there was bound to be someone with the power to see ghosts. As he made the transaction the weird feeling of fading away, came to him. It was like second nature but he still wasn't used to it, even after 250 years of having to do it. It still made him feel like he was going to puke and he really hated it but he could cope. Coming out into the clearing he saw a girl lying on a fallen tree singing out loud to herself. Must be a Carer... he slipped by the tree by her head hoping his gliding would go unnoticed to her. It would be just his luck if she did see him.

As Tamika lay on the tree, she could sense something in the immediate area. Something other wordly going by. She stopped singing and sat bolt upright, her eyes flickering from side to side. Slowly turning around, she spotted a spirit walking through the trees. It was obvious it would be because no one else would be stupid enough to be in the forest at that hour, but she also got the feel off them of a spirit. She stood up to tried and catch a closer glimpse as the guy drifted past. He seemed vaguely familiar, but she didn't know just why. She took a couple of quiet steps but still didn't say anything. She was trying to pick up his energy to find out who he was. Closing her eyes, Tamika got visions of sometime years ago involving this guy and... Her? She shook her head and tried to channel again, thinking she had got some wires crossed. The second time she got visions, it was playing out different scenes but still her and this male ghost. She started to pick up a name and remember him a little. Warily she walked forward a little bit more and gently called out to him, "Carlos?"

Not his name. That was not his name. Carlos had died long, long ago. Died and been buried for eternity. So had Amy. When she had died, so did Carlos. So why then did Dimitri recognise the voice so d**n well. Amy had died well over 300 years ago. But there was no mistaking the voice or the tone. Turning 180 degrees in a clockwise direction he caught sight of the girl who had called out his name. But...she was dead. She died in my arms....I watched her as she breathed in her last breath. Amy had died. So then how could she be standing here before him and dressed so...strangely? "I'm sorry?"

Tamika frowned and slumped her shoulders. She was positive the lines weren't crossed anymore, and it was very rare she was wrong about a ghost situation. So what the hell was happening right now? Furrowing her brows, Tamika tried to regress again. She was getting some images of herself dying in Carlos' arms, it was in the energy he was giving off. She pushed her fringe to the side in her beanie so she could look at Carlos better, making sure it was really him. "Carlos, right? That was your name in your life..." She mumbled. This situation was becoming hella confusing now. If he couldn't remember, then why could she? And it still puzzled Tamika as to why she was in the scenes playing out. And then another memory struck her. "I'm... Amy? What?" She was deep in confusion and she didn't like it one bit. Looking back up at the spirit she told him, "Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you. I'm picking stuff up and I thought it was from... Well, you..."

This is crazy. How in the hell did an inferior little girl like this know him and his Amy. More to the bloody point. Why did she think she was Amy?! "I don't know what you're talking about, but I do have to be on my way," he said cooly and glaring at her slightly. This made no sense whatsoever. He wanted to walk, glide, run, anything! Move now. Move. NOW! "My name is Dimitri."

Tamika looked at the spirit and glared a little. She was getting it stronger in her head now, she was right. Of course, she didn't know why she was right, she just knew she was. After a few seconds she dropped her glare and wondered why on earth he wasn't leaving, like he said he was. All rational parts of her mind were screaming not to trust a lying ghost, but curiosity took over and Tamika couldn't help herself. She looked up at him again, this time with less resentment and told him hastily, "I'm Tammy..." And I know that you're lying to me... Of course, that last part was said in her head rather than aloud, she didn't want to aggrivate the guy.

"Pleasure," he nodded and glided on into the to forest without looking at the Carer named Tammy. It was not her bussiness. Not anyone's bussiness for that matter. Becoming corporeal again, Dimitri started to walk towards where he assumed the school would be but the forest seemed to become denser. Sighing he stopped and turned around. How did she know Amy? How did she know...me? "How do you know that stuff?" he asked her, he knew she would be following him.

Tamika rolled her eyes as the ghost went off his way and clapped her hands together, forming another fireball. She glanced her eyes down to her watch and noticed that it was getting later. "Time to head back," she muttered. As Tamika looked at the direction she would have to go in to return home, she realised that was the same direction Dimitri had walked in. Fan-friggin-tastic. She took a path a few metres away from Dimitri's and started on her way back, keeping the fireball a few feet in front of her still. When she stopped to heal a small bird, she heard the guy turn in his tracks and ask "How do you know that stuff?" Standing up from her crouched position, Tamika looked in his direction. "Well," she started, with a small sigh, "I'm psychic. I'm picking up your energy and regressing, that's how I know that stuff." She told him, before going back to helping the bird again.

Hmm, a psychic who can see and talk to ghosts. Just his absolute bloody lucky. She could sense his waves and his psychic pulses. Sighing he walked over to her, "Tell me something. What else do you feel about me?" He stared at her until she looked up at him and held her eyes and waited for her answer. Not the night for this, but he couldn't have someone rushing of to tell everyone in the school about his ability. Not until he spoke to the headmaster.

Tamika looked up at Dimitri, trying her hardest to concentrate. There was no way in hell she was going to help some cocky spirit doubt her. She was picking up some odd energy off of him. She couldn't sense why it was odd, but it was and it had somehow... Altered. Frowning at him, Tamika stepped back a little. "You're not like other spirits..." She mumbled, "But I don't know why." This was extremely irritating, mainly because she hadn't encountered this type of thing before. She looked down again and closed her eyes, wanting to pick up what his deal was. All she was getting again though was scenes of them together. "What are you, Carlos?" She asked, completely forgetting he was called Dimitri.

"My.Name.Is.Not.Carlos." he hissed through gritted teeth. He never would be. It was too painful to be called anything close to that name. Same reason he avoided anyone called Amy. Although that was going to be exceedingly difficult in a school this size. He breathed in and out deeply for a few seconds calming himself. Opening his eyes he looked down at Tammy who still had her eyes closed...Amy's ey- no, absolutely not. "Please, never call me Carlos," he pleaded, "That is part of my past that I wish to remain buried and stay that way. Now, look at me," This would be interesting. Nobody had ever noticed before and if they had they'd kept extrodinarily quiet about it but most of those tibes or clans where wrapt up in their own little worlds that they didn't care for anyone else. Dimitri had come to Orchid Hill for one reason, and one reason only and he would not leave, unless asked to do so, until it was done. To help as much as possible. It was a good thing he couldn't die.

Tamika's eyes immediately flashed open and she broke out of her little trance. She glared straight ahead of her, with a scowl on her face. She stepped back again towards her original route back and turned a little, still not looking at him to do the opposite of what he said. Being childish can be oh so fun. "Y'know what dude, I'm sorry for calling you the wrong name, but that's all I'm getting when I look at you and I keep regressing because of your energy. Do you think I want to see myself dying in your arms? And sorry for disturbing you and asking what you are, I was just curious," she ranted, a bit unnecessarily even she would admit. Conjuring another fireball through her palms, she hovered it and continued looking for injured animals. And of course, she would come by an injured rabbit meer feet from where she'd been so rude to Dimitri. With a muttered string of curse words, she dropped to her knees by the rabbit and started to pet it before healing.

The words Hissy Fit seemed to be an accurate description and it took all of Dimitri'swill power not to show any signs of amusement towards the girl. "It's blatantly obvious if you just take a second and look at me," he managed to keep his hard tone up. This girl was......unusual.

"Well stop talking to me like I'm beneath you!" Tamika snarled, finishing with the rabbit. She stood up from her crouch and begrudgingly looked up at Dimitri. She folded her arms and stared at him, "So what exactly am I meant to be seeing here?" There was nothing visible, just the same shifting energy. She wondered briefly if he knew that ghost, human, whatever, he would just appear solid to her.
