Yack Trove... Will was lovely, and sometimes her accent was, too. But at other times... her German-ness just plain hurt. Like when she said his name. Like now. Yack... "Fine means fine," he said jovially, looking round and her, then raising an eyebrow mischievously. "Unless you'd like it to mean something in particular..?"

"Unless you'd like it to mean something in particular..?" Will blushed vibrantly, she ducked her head, bit her lip and looked at the ground. Why? Why did he have to say it like that?! "No, I meant define fine, like I'm fine because I got a premontion or something," She spoke quietly trying to regain her ground again. It was even harder now that he had questioned her like that to look up at him.

"Er... I'm not sure," he frowned. "I'm fine because... I'm out of that bloody gym." In all its sweat, blood and tears, that place was the haven of fat men in jogging suits. Jack hated it there; probably because he was by no means fat. Just bulky in the muscle department. "Did you define yours?"

"No, but only because you never defined yours," she snapped back, " I am fine because now I'm actually getting fresh air," she frowned deeply. Something was starting to trouble her but it wasn't going to make itself clear. Nothing ever was. They walked across the square in silence until Will stopped at the coffee shop and bought two lattés. "Sorry if you don't like it...I don't know what you like so I just bought two of the same," but she did think to buy two small ones just in case. "So, why don't you like the gym?

He raised an eyebrow at her. "What, you enjoy it?" He inhaled deeply. "Aah. Recycled air. Fat guys in tracksuits. The smell of sweat... everywhere." Pulling the little mug (who knew coffee could be this camp?) towards him and stirring it gingerly. Catching the eye of a passing bloke coming along the street, Jack felt himself redden slightly, and dropped the spoon. "Not my idea of fun, anyway," he furtively muttered, glancing back at Will.

Will wondered as too why Jack's cheeks reddened slightly. It suited him but it was an unusual reaction for him. "Yes, I have to agree with you," she replied taking a sip of her latté, "No wonder people come out of there..slightly grumpy," She smiled to herself and drank another bit of her latté. They walked up the road towards the school in silence. "Jack..." no she didn't have a question or a sentence for him. She just randomly said his name. Her trademark. Randomness.

"... Vill..." Jack hissed teasingly, after an increased period of silence told him Will wasn't about to reply. Silly German girl. He wondered if all Germans were so strange. Obviously, it wasn't their fault about the whole... er... accent thing. Or the Hitler thing. Or the unfortunate stereotypical blonde fat woman thing. But perhaps there was something truth in the general oddity that hovered over the nation.

"Ja?" she turned to look at him, "Vat do you vant?" There had been a certain thing in the air today that was making her slightly slaphappy. Up ahead a flock of birds dived out of the forest, scared by something or someone. "Why can't anyone just leave them alone." she muttered furiously under her breath. "To be honest Jack, I have the same feeling about the gym as you do, sides i prefer large spaces, not enclosed ones. Especially when I work out or whatever," she turned and smiled at him.

Jack chuckled. "Bring the gym outside. Very nice, Will. I swear to God, all you Carers are hippies." He wasn't taking the mick with that- well, only 60% of the time was he taking the mick with that hippy comment. But he'd seen them- girls and guys a like- wandering barefoot in the forests, surrounded by animals. The freaks. They all belonged in the '60s, headbanging with the Beatles.

"Why thank you Jack, that's very sweet of you," she turned her head to the side smiling as she bit her lip. She knew he meant it but to her that was a compliment. Hippies or not, it was the job and they could go about it how they liked...as long as it was aproppiate and they actually did their work. "But I bet people would start to look at me weirdly if I brought all the gym equipment outside....it would be fun though," she laughed a bit and shook her head, her hair blowing behind her with the breeze.

Jack rose an eyebrow at Will. "Is that why you do things?" Will was odd. Everyone knew that. She had a habit of drifting off into space, kinda like Kira, but Kira's dreaminess was much more... natural. Will was more random. Kira would gradually drift, but Will just sort of... disappeared on you. And she did weird things. Said weird things. Jack liked Will. He liked the fact that she did all these things without much thought as to what people might think. And she could make him laugh. But sometimes he wondered... well, was the randomness put on? It sounded strange, but... why did she drift so often? Why did she flick topics so fast? What did she hope to achieve by being so... not with it? Or was this simply her way of being? He realised he hadn't done a very good job of clarifying this in his question, though. "I mean... do you just do random stuff sometimes... just to get a reaction out of people?"

"I mean... do you just do random stuff sometimes... just to get a reaction out of people?" What the hell was that supposed to mean?! Did he honestly think her an attention seeker!? If so it was rude. Very rude. Will never really liked being the centre of attention and still didn't. She was hurt that he'd even think that. She let go of her breath in a short blast. It felt like...being hit on the face with a belt. Hard and fast. "Is that what you think of me?" stopping, she turned to face him with hurt in her eyes and disbelief all over her face, "Well, if it is, it doesn't say much for your kindness!" she snapped at him and walked on much faster than they had been. How rude.

Women! Swearing hotly under his breath, Jack compensated for her faster pace by taking longer strides. She was a ridiculous amount smaller than him. "I wasn't calling you an attention-seeker!" he called to her, "I just meant do you ever do things to get a rise outta people? I mean... like... it's like... like when I tease Lee about sex!" Everyone knew Lee was a virgin. The same couldn't be said about Madeleine, though...

He what?! Will stopped dead againa nd took a deep breath before spinning around in 180 degrees so she faced Jack coming up behind her. She glared at him. "No. I do not." she answered hotly before frowning and furrowing her eyebrows, "And why are you teasing him about sex? Out of all the things in the world..." Shaking her head she looked up at him. Giant. "Jack? Have you ever thought about shrinking early?"

Why did he tease Lee about sex? Good question. Several reasons, really. 1. Lee had been with Madeleine for one and half years, but he was still a bloody virgin. 2. Lee went bright red every time the issue of sizing came up. 3. Jack was... at the best of times... an utter tool. He was about to answer her accordingly when she asked another, completely random question: "Jack? Have you ever thought about shrinking early?" A grin lit his features as he gazed downwards at her. "Hey, Will," he said playfully, "ever thought about growing sooner?"
