Playing with Illusions

[Ienzo <//3]

Ienzo was sprawled out under an old oak tree, his back to the trunk and Aeleus laying on his lap. Ienzo was testing his skills by changing the colors of the leaves on the tree above him. With a grin he changed all the leaves to pink, the sun light glinting of them and creating a pink aura on the ground around him. His face was bathed in the plae pink glow, and Aeleus was batting at dust mites in the air that had taken on a pink glow. Ienzo absently stroked Aeleus' head as he concentrated on making each leaf a different color of the rainbow. As soon as the tree was all the glorious shades of the rainbow, rich reds, deep blues and radiant yellows, he switched all the leaves back to green, but in rather violent neon shades. After a few seconds of being blinded by the neon-ness of the tree he cancelled the illusion. With a sigh he changed the leaves on the tree to a pale blue. The sun light reflecting of the moving leaves made it seem like Ienzo and Aeleus were sitting under water.

Nadia was strolling through the forest. She had decided to check out the walks around here. She didn't like hills much but she didn't mind occasionally going up/down them. She was day-dreaming as usual thinking about different species of dogs when she saw a flash of colour out of the corner of her eye. There was a tree further on which had pink leaves. It slowly turned rainbow before turning a pale blue - like water.
Nadia panicked slightly. Her control over colours had been like this at the start, when she first got her power - she had no control. It was completely spontaneous. With a sigh at her incompetence she turned the leaves to their original colour, continuing to stroll along, hoping it wouldn't happen again.
She soon slipped back into her day-dream, still walking in the direction of the once-multicoloured-tree.

Ienzo smelt a human scent before he noticed the girl in the distance walking towards him. She was tall and seemed to be lost in her own little world, just like he was until he picked up her scent. Aeleus sat up in his lap and began to contentedly lick he paw and clean behind his ears in a continous, relaxing movement. Ienzo let his eyes drift slightly closed, and abruptly opened them when his illusion was cancelled. With a starled blink he looked at the girl. She was the only other scent in the area, therefore she had to be the culprit as his illusion was definately cancelled by someone else and hadn't just faded away because he wasn't concentrating hard enough. With a smirk, he chaned the leaves flouresent pink and closed his eyes against the glare. Serves her right for changing them, she can deal with the glare. Aeleus mewed and turned to face into Ienzo stomach to combat the burning his retina's were getting from the new pink tree.

A sudden glare caught Nadia's attention and brought her out of her day-dream. The tree was now bright pink. Like really bright pink. Like fluorescent pink. Like hurt your eyes pink. She quickly dulled down the colour before returning it to natural.
Nadia was really worried now. Was she actually losing control? She couldn't understand it. She kept walking, this time more focused on the tree. Maybe there was something special about it.
Maybe it wasn't her. As she neared the tree she saw a shape nearby but she was too far away to see what it was. She hadn't brought her glasses out with her as she didn't really need to wear them all the time. Also she didn't much like them. She came closer, squinting.

Opening his eyes as the illusion was dulled then cancelled Ienzo looked up at the girl, It was definately her. With a smirk Ienzo changed the tree to blue and created little fish that swam in and out of the leaves as if they were currents. The Illusion was so complex that he hoped the girl wouldn't be able to break it down and destroy it. Aeleus twiched on his lap and started batting at the air with his paw. He wanted to play with the fish. with a grin, Ienzo created a few fish that swam about Aeleus' head for him to play with. The slender black cat skipped of his lap and contecnted itself jumping around and swiping at the fish illusions. The illusions were solid and when the tom cat hit them they got thrown through the air with the force.

As Nadia approached, the tree turned blue and then out of nowhere fish appeared to be swimming in it. She smiled as she realized that there was no loss of control on her part, which, you know, was a bit of a relief.
She could just about make out a guy sitting down now, with a small black cat chasing some of the illusionary fish.
She smiled and again changed the colour of the tree back to natural, she then changed the colour of the cat to white, to see what the guy would say.

Ienzo could smell the girl more clearly now, she had a light scent, with a mild dusty tone to it. Academic, obviously spends a tad to much time in the library if she's started to smell of dust Aeleus gave a yelp and started to lick at his side, the usually jet black cat was as white as a sheet. Ienzo gave a snort and changed him back, which immediately calmed the cat down. With and glance up he notciced that the tree had changed back, but the fish remained. So colour then, thats your power With a smirk, Ienzo turned the tree into a tall red and white candy striped pole, a large decorative butterfly adorned the top.

Nadia was close enough now to see the boy smirk before changing the tree into a re and white pole. She changed the colours of the pole to pink and blue; then changed the butterfly on top of the pole purple. She changed the grass silver, the sky orange and the guy's hair pink - well she left underneath his hair the same colour but changed the top. After a few seconds she came up to the guy, properly and smiled at him showing her teeth which she had turned green for that purpose.

Ienzo grinned, the gril had a strange taste in color schemes he had to say. Her tastes were, lets say questionable and he was a bit amused that she'd picked pink for the top of his hair. With a flick of his wrist he change dthe tree back to the orginal state it was before Ienzo and this girl started their color battle. As she approached she had grinned, showing green teeth. So she has a sense of humor I see, Well I do too. Using a quick Ilusion he turned his dark eyes bright red, gave them slits, elongated his insisors and grew himself some fluffy pink kitty ears to match his new hair.
"Well hello there, having fun ruining my tree?" Ienzo purred out from behind his fangs.

"Well hello there, having fun ruining my tree?" the boy asked revealing fangs, slits with red inside for eyes and pink ears the same shade of his hair. Nadia jumped at first, she hadn't expected him to talk at all. She faded all the colours to their origins only leaving the boy with the pink hair. And the eyes etc.
Nadia raised her eyebrow before answering, "Your tree? I was under the impression that it was part of the forest... no name on it anyway..." she smiled properly this time, "I'm Nadia." She paused looking at the cat before continuing, "Your cat is unbelievably cute!!!!!! Awww I want him... or is it female?" It was so cute though, coal black with bright eyes... so cute.

With a smirk Ienzo created an illusion that wrote his name on the tree in swirling black letters.
"Darlin' my name is on that tree, look closer." He smirked, fading the pink from his hair and losing the fangs, he quite liked the ears and eyes, they were nice, comfortable even.
"Oh yeah, Its a he. His name is Aeleus. He wa sthe first thing I met when I woke up, My earliest Memory if you will."

With a smirk the boy said to Nadia, "Darlin' my name is on that tree, look closer." He smirked again fading the pink from his hair and losing the fangs, he kept the ears and eyes though. He was starting to annoy Nadia a bit, calling her 'Darlin' when he didn't even know her. It brought back unpleasant memories. Her brother's friend had called her 'Darlin' too. She shuddered before glancing at the indicated tree. I - E - N - Z - O... Ienzo... that's unusual... kinda odd.
Ienzo continued to talk, answering Nadia's other question, "Oh yeah, Its a he. His name is Aeleus. He was the first thing I met when I woke up, My earliest Memory if you will." His earliest memory? Well he isn't lying... Nadia found that a bit hard to believe seeing as the cat was very young and he was not much, if at all, younger than herself.
"Your earliest memory? But, uh, Alias is only a kitten... how does that work?" Oh yeah maybe another illusion. She was getting a bit tired of all this pretense.

Whoops, she didn't seem to like being called darlin, better stop it.
"Oh, Ah, you see. I lost all my memory prior to two eyars ago. I haven't got any idea of my last name, where I came from. I just knew I was special and that I was all alone, well save everybodies favourite kitten here." Ienzo said as he lifted Aeleus up of the ground and cradled him in the crook of his arm, the cats tail lazily swinging from side to side down over his arm. With his free arm Ienzo gently stroked his closest friends head.

"Oh, Ah, you see. I lost all my memory prior to two years ago. I haven't got any idea of my last name, where I came from. I just knew I was special and that I was all alone, well save everybodies favourite kitten here." Well... he's honest. You don't usually find that about people. Especially not people of our age. It's really weird.
"Wow... you're weird... you're being honest... you have no idea how weird that is..." Nadia blushed as she realized what she had just said. "Sorry... you just took me by surprise that's all... so... um.... yeah..." Nadia was at this point highly embarrassed at being so rude to him.

Ienzo smiled, It was nice to be called honest, most people just question him about what happened, what he remembered and so on.
"Hey, don't worry about it. I try to be as honest as possible. And its easier to explain not remembering than why I don't have a last name."
With a grin Ienzo placed Aeleus in the girls arms.
"You never told me your name, I suppose you got mine from the tree?"
