She had made it. After everything, however many moons of suffering...she was here. And even through her blinding mist of pain she could see the majesty of the structure before her not over half a mile away. It still felt like it might be half a mile too far.
But mercifully at the sight relief flooded Misa's body, and with it a new wave of energy came to her just as she found herself coming to the edge of consciousness.
The ground seemed to be waving at Misa, calling her onward. The safe warm glow from the grand building's windows, the stones that founded the place, were shouting to her also, in almost a melodic rhythm,
"Salvation, Sanctuary, Salvation..."
Pushing herself forward, dragging her leg (in which she'd lost feeling long before) Misa stumbled down the embankment. The moment she dropped from the mound, the castle disappeared from view.
It felt like forever and a half before she reached the wrought-iron front gates. Yet she made it, just as she had promised Ken'ichi she would...Tears she refused to acknowledge slipped down her cheeks as she remembered her fallen companion.
Collapsing into the moist tidy grass on the other side of the gate she breathed freely for what felt like the first time in a very long time. She was bleeding, severely damaged (not just physically) and malnourished to the point of skeletal but she was safe. She hoped. And with one last prayer she passed into a realm of unconsciousness, her left palm curled around her Daemon.

Tamika walked up the road to the school looking at her new purchases from town. She had bought a few books about Spiritualism, Psychics, and Derek Acorah's book, 'Amazing Psychic Stories', some candy and a new dress. All in all, good value for the little money she had brought with her. Entering the school gates and making her way up the path, she noticed someone lying on the grass. She watched for a moment, thinking somebody had tripped and would be on their way in a second. After no movement she made her way over. "Excuse me, are you ok?" She asked. "Stupid question Tamika, obviously the girl's not alright..." She thought. The girl gave no response, vocally or physically. Kneeling down beside the girl she checked for a pulse, and found one after a moment, it was quite slow. Tamika sighed and set to work healing the girls cuts, bruises, and possible broken bones. During Tamika's healing, the girl woke up. "Ah, hello. Don't worry, I'm not a mugger, I'm a school carer. Just going to heal you up then we'll get you up to the Hospital, or in out of the cold at least," Tamika rambled cheerfully, fixing the girls legs. "Oh, I'm Tamika by the way." "It's like I'm on newbie patrol or something..." Tamika thought to herself, even though she too hadn't been here all that long.

"Misa..." She whispered in response, smiling tentatively as the panic which had seized her once she had realised a stranger was next to her released it's firm grip on her heart.
They weren't victimizing her further as she had originally thought. They were healing her. Already Misa could feel the pain easing and she was thankful for the pins and needles she could feel in her leg, thankful for the fact she could feel in it again. Tamika...she pondered the name. It was a kind name, a gentle name. It suited the person before her down to the ground.

Tamika smiled warmly, "That's a lovely name." She hummed 'No Love Lost' by Joy Division as she finished doing all the healing she could. When she was done she looked at Misa, she looked like she had been through quite a tough time. "Well, I've done all I can do at the minute by myself, I think I got everything healed though. Now, next task at hand, get you up and indoors. Would you like to go to the hospital wing right away or would you prefer to get a hot drink and something to eat first?" Tamika asked, genuinely concerned for the girls welfare. She had a mumsy streak in her after having to babysit her cousins for days at a time. "Oh, we'll have to get you up off that wet grass too..." Tamika put her arms underneath Misa's shoulders and pulled her up from the ground, holding onto her as she stood just to be sure Misa didn't fall again.

The blood rushed to Misa's head as Tamika helped her stand and she silently thanked her for holding her up. Her stomach growled quietly to itself, making the choice for her.
"Food, I think." She said quietly and ensuring her tiny backpack was still on her shoulders Misa allowed herself to be guided indoors.

"Okey dokey!" Tamika lifted her bag from the ground and led Misa in through the main doors, up a few corridors to the canteen. They went inside and Tamika sat Misa at the table she usually went to, putting her own bag on the chair opposite Misa. "So, what would you like? The chef can make pretty much anything if asked nicely, and they do a good range of hot and cold drinks." Tamika walked backwards to the kitchen door, to check he was actually still there. Whilst walking she bumped into Anton. "Oh, sorry mate!" She said to him, smiling before leaning back to see if the chef was there. "Ah good, he hasn't left yet."

A sudden pang of agony through her stomach sent Misa reeling. Where on earth had that come from? Once the black spots had swirled their way from her vision she realised Tamika had been saying something. Was she expecting a reply? Apparently not, as she continued on unaware of Misa's pain.
Misa stayed where she was. A terrible fear rooted her to the spot. That pain...It felt nearly familiar. The same initial shocking sharpness, the blinding spots, the same abrupt disappearance of the pain. Could They still be able to get her here? Was no where safe? She had to think this through, she had just think...
"On the other hand, I think I'll just head on up to bed. I'm really tired."
She took to her heels and ran, not caring that she had no clue where she was going, that she was being irrational, nothing mattered. She just had to get away from this place, this place that she could only associate with that pain. That same pain.
A cold fear held a vice like grip on her heart as she burst out into a large room. As luck would have it, she seemed to have found the entrance hall and after asking with measured politeness for her room number, et cetera, it took her last piece of restraint to walk across the hall to the directed staircase and then she was off once again, barely able to hold her tears until she reached dormitory 18.
