It was raining. The water poured down along side Riddick as he walked to the outskirts of town toward the oak tree that he saw when he was walking to the school from the Gypsy camp. Flashback, a white two story house stood before him. It was also raining like it was in reality and a young Riddick stood in the living room, arguing with his parents. Margery and Darren were there names. A crack was what was next heard along with shattering glass and several things flying out a living room window.
He awoke from the flash back covered in a veil of water he shook it off and it landed drop by single drop as he approached the tree the last of it he gathered in his hand as you would a snow ball. Concentrating he threw the ball of clear rain water filled with his hand, as if it was the hate from the many years had passed and with a push of his hands the water ball propelled from his hands and hit the tree.
“WHY! WHY ME? WHY!!!” He screamed towards the sky.
Not realising what damage he had done to the tree from the energy ball he had just thrown out of rage. He quickly ran over to check if the tree was seriously damaged in any way. Thankfully it was not as damaged as he thought it would be. He was finaly underneath the old oak tree that stood tall and strong, able to withstand the amount of force Riddick had just put on it. The rain had calmed down, it was merely a slight drizzle now. Ruby and Mary had appeared before him as if they apparated from the rain.
“Some one approaches.” Mary said in a calm voice. “Should I let them pass?” she said again with Ruby on all fours staring out towards the rain clouds.
“Let them come. I can protect myself.” Riddick said not showing any signs of distress Ruby curled up beside him still eyes peeled, looking towards the clouds.
There was a crack just a few meters away that made Riddick jump to his feet ready for battle. He knew the war that happened in these lands and when he joined Orchid He knew that joining the warrior group he would have to stand up tall and proud to serve his school in the iron cage of battle. A second crack sounded and this time getting closer he drew what energy he had and created in the palm of his two broad hands clear water balls constantly growing in size ready for him to ricochet them at any time. A third crack sounded and this time a hooded figure appeared from the sky, as if he was summoned by the thunder.
Riddick threw the first ball of water at him and considering at such a close range it was bound to hit him. The hooded figure jumped a few meters back, raised his had forwards and thunder sprang from his finger tips and made the water evaporate almost instantly.
“Mary!” Riddick Screamed
“Now do you want me to dispose of him?” Mary said
“Be my guest” Riddick whipped the sweat of his fore head and Mary was set to work, as a part of Riddick she was able to pull his powers and created a veil of water surrounding them both.
The Hooded figure spoke.
“Why do you fight?” It was a guy, mid teens, 16 – 17 by guess.
“Obviously you need a history lesson” Riddick said from the veil.
Riddick Jumped from the veil breaking up the gathered water ball into smaller ones he fired them simultaneously at the hooded teen. He simply raised his hand again and they all evaporated one buy one. Now it was his turn to attack leaving Riddick empty handed gathering all the energy he could he threw a bolt of lightening at Riddick. Unavoidable Riddick tried to gather up enough energy to throw a water ball. Then it happened a spark inside him had sparked again, brocks of light formed in front of him and created a large portal.
“NO!” Riddick screamed as the hooded teen was being pulled in, He was constantly firing bolts of lighting into the eye of the portal, being unsuccessful, and he was still being pulled in.
Riddick thought to himself; “I can’t let anyone die this way again!”
“MARY, PRESTON, BILL, RUBY! It’s time again!”
4 spirits were summoned before his eyes and slowly they all opened there eyes all filled with the same colour as the portal, then they glared at Riddick with the power in there eyes it flew to him, gathering all the strength he had left he gathered the energy in his hands as he would the water and with a crack he threw the energy ball into the middle of the portal.
It closed successfully; Mary, Preston, Bill and Ruby were now gathered around him, alongside the hooded figure. He took down his hood to revel short brown hair, spiked up to look modern, like thunder flowing through his veins. Riddick stared deep into his brown pulsing eyes.
“Wow, you have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.”
Blackout.
Riddick awoke in the now unhooded guys arms, he was staring right at him, the spirits were still surrounding him. Staring Blankley at him.
“You gave me quite a scare there, Sorry I attacked you but I thought you were going to kill me, I’m so sorry. Then you summoned that portal. Now that takes talent! The names James, may I ask for yours?” said James.
Still light headed Riddick sat up at the old oak, looked back at James and said; “Sorry about that, I thought you were one of them, I meant no harm, it’s just you have to be careful around these parts. My name’s Riddick. Ohh and bout that comment about yours eyes, ignore it.”
“Why? I think there’s nothing wrong with it” Said James still staring at Riddick.
“Don’t you think it’s a little gay?” Replied Riddick Now both staring at eachother
“No” Said James as he moved closer to Riddick and pressed his lips apon Riddick.
Riddick shocked from what just happened Jumped back, not realising his head was still pressed against the tree.
“Ouch” Said Riddick still in shock.
“Sorry, I shouldn’t have” Said James now standing up.
Riddick Jumped up and grabbed James’s hand and pulled him back.
“Don’t, it’s ok.” Said Riddick this time Riddick moved and kissed James on the cheek.
“Fancy coming to the school with me?” Said Riddick to James
“How did you know?” Said James looking confused
“I’ll tell you when we get you enrolled” Said Riddick.
James grabbed Riddick’s hand and they walked together in the now pouring rain towards the iron gates Riddick had walked through only a week ago.
