Name: Guy (Named by the goblins for the usual term humans use for the males of their species.)
Age: 17 - will be 18 sometime in December.
Physical Description: Guy has thick, slightly wavy dark hair, which is cut to just above his shoulder. He is quite tanned- because by the way, for all you who don't know, South Africa is hot- and has large, dark brown eyes. He's fairly tall- around 6 ft, which he always considered a good enough height, and is very well toned. It comes from running, and hunting, and doing a lot of heavy work. If you've been doing it since childhood, it's bound to steadily build muscle.
Clothing Description: When living with the goblins, he usually just donned a pair of home-made trousers. The heat of the African country baked him on a daily basis, so he tried to wear as few layers as necessary. At his old school, he used to have to wear a uniform, which was a simple black robe. It was alright, but still, he would've preferred it in white, because at least then it would've kept them all cooler. However, upon entering Britain, Guy discovered a necessity for T-shirts and hoodies. He tends to wear jeans, because they're easy to put things with, and has a few T-shirts in a variety of colours, and one pair of shoes that are falling apart.
He should really fix that.
Personalty: Guy is fairly laid-back about most things. He doesn't like too much noise, and pretty much detests all kinds of fruit and veg, but besides for that, he's okay about most things. It's because he's... flexible. He's able to adapt- chameleon style- to almost every situation he finds himself in. In fact, he likes to be in new situations. He likes to move through the world, and see new things and try them; which is why he is so adaptable. To do what he wants, he has to be.
Guy has a short temper; and a slightly cynical outlook on things. He doesn't like to think of himself as a pessimist, but he is realistic about the world, and the way it is. He finds a lot of human interaction pointless- sometimes vaguely interesting- but otherwise pointless. He has a slightly warped, sardonic sense of humour, and when it comes to girls... he just gets confused. He likes to read, he likes music, and he likes to run; because as... interesting as people can be, it's nice to tune out, every so often.
History: Guy doesn't know much about his human heritage- but here's what he does know. He was found- an abandoned child- by a colony of goblins; a race of creatures living in Spain where they found him. He lived there for the first three years of his life, before the colony migrated to South Africa, when they were bombed out by specieists. The colony is a hundred strong, and he was raised on a diet of hunted and slaughtered African wild animals. The average goblin male has the strength and ferocity to take down a fully grown lioness, and being surrounded by goblins when growing up, Guy was constantly pushed by his 'siblings' to his physical limits. To them, he was weak, and soft- a little human who paled in comparison to their strength, so he was easily picked on. This was why the discovery of his magic was such a blessing. Goblins are non-magic creatures, and his siblings dared not pick a fight after Guy figured out how to electrocute them.
Guy- despite picking fights- was a useful, and well-liked addition to the colony. He learned English, and several African languages, so was easily able to communicate with the colony's neighbouring humans and sort out any problems, and make necessary deals. Through the humans, Guy learned about a nearby magic school- Manse-Waters Establishment for Boys- and this is where he attended. The goblins knew this was important- without education, his magic was dangerous, and many had had terrible experiences of magic and humans.
At school, Guy learned that compared to humans of his age, he was physically and mentally their superior. Everything he read, he remembered, and once tested on an I.Q. test, he came out with a score of 203. He didn't know what this meant- he hadn't really been trying at the time- but he later deemed the I.Q. test a worthless waste of time, because it had been geared towards a specific category of human, and so was useless when it came to measuring actual intelligence.
He thought a lot of things about humans could be a tad useless.
Goblins were far more practical, and he harboured affectionate- if sometimes distant- feelings for them all. When he was 17, the goblin colony decided to migrate once more, this time to Britain. Guy decided to live nearby at Orchid Hill- a magic school he could finish his education at. He was particularly interested in this school, because across the lands it was famous.
It was the centre of the war that raged around them all.
Gifts: Lightning control, the ability to recall everything he's ever read, and X-ray vision.
Pets: Goblins tended to eat their pets... so... er... no.
Other: Growing up in a colony of goblins were fighting was the same as playing, he has suffered a few scars in his time. Away from all that, with the humans, he enjoys being more peaceful.
