Macy took a bite of her toast, while leaning over, trying to finish the book that she had started the night before. Since it was now the summer, the population of people who usually ate all the Frosties and Doughnuts in the moring had left to go home. Macy had sat down in her normal table, the on in the corner, out of the way, and when she realised that it would only be her who'd be eating breakfast there that morning, she decided to take out her book and start reading again. When the slice was gone, and glanced up, and picked up her glass or orange juice that she held for a few seconds, finishing off the sentance that she was reading, while freezing and melting the juice in the glass. Finally she sipped it, and set it down, while a woman set down a pot of tea on her table, even though it was only Macy sitting there. She decided to pour herself a cup, but as she set down her book, with a frozen page marking her place, but noticed someone who had sat down near her. She glanced up and noticed a boy who she recognised to be in Spies. She smiled, and then picked up the pot of tea and gestered to him. "Want some?" She asked.

Jethro had decided not to go home for the summer. One: he like it here and Two: he didn't like his dad. So he had come down to the dining room in hopes that it would be empty and he could eat in peace. He walked in and sighed with relief, it was empty. No, he saw the blonde hair in the corner of the room. Macy Deltine- Head of the Academics. He walked over and ever so quickly and quietly he slipped into the seat on the other side of the table. She was reading a book. After a while a woman came over with some tea. Macy put down her book and poured herself soem and then relized he was there. "Want some?" she asked. "Yes, please," he replied. He hadn't got talking to any of the Heads apart from Kira. It was nice to know he had setteled in so quickly. Macy seemed nice and Abby seemed to have high praise for her. "You must be Macy Deltine, I'm Jet," he moved his hand forward so she could shake hands with him.

Macy smiled and set down the teapot, and shook his hand, leaving it frosty when she set her hand back down. She hovered her hand above the table, picking what fruit to eat. She finally got an orange and began to peel it, dropping the icy bits on rind on the table. "Are you going home for the summer, then?" She asked, politely, eating a segment of the orange.

"I might," he frowned, "Ice is a nice power to have," she looked at the frozen pieces or peeled orange on the table. "What about you? Are you going home for summer?"

"Yeah, I'm going home next week, and then I'm going to Spain for a few weeks with my mum and Will Wright. I haven't seen my mother since Christmas, so I know this won't be too happy." She smiled, running her hand through her hair. When she finished her orange, she pushed all the bits of rind into one little pile, trying to keep the table clean. "So, um, what powers do you have? If you don't mind me asking.." She asked, looking up at him, pushing some hair that had fallen over her face behind her ear. Most people didn't really mind saying what their gifts were, and Macy was just curious, she liked to know.

"No no, not at all. I have super speed, invisibility and earth," he smiled. "Not much but I like them. What powers do you have? apart from ice I mean," he reutrned the question. He picked up some apple juice and poured himself a glass and also took some strawberries.

"I can shapeshift into other animals, and so can my companion, Gypsy, who, I think, is out in the forest..." she said, leaning over to look out the window, just in case, by chance, she was flying by. "I also have a very good memory." She said, smiling. She fingered the edge of her book, leaving a little ice. She then brushed it away and then looked up. "It's nice being able to shapeshift, I can just change into a bird or a cat, or something, and then just...go. I come back, of course." She laughed. "Do you like your invisibility? If I could disappear, I would just stay like that. I would be able to just go away, or play tricks on people, it'd be so nice."

Jet laughed and rolled his eyes playfully. "I play tricks on my sister all the time. It's great, probably one of the best powers ever..even if it is common I wouldn't want any other power. I love the invisibilty..the others I wouldn't care if I lost them...if that can happen," he pondered this for a moment, wondering if you could lose your powers without dying,"actually I change my mind, I love the earth power the only one I could actually stand to part with would be the super speed," he shrugged. "But what about shape-shifting? that sounds immense!"

"Yes, it is nice. But, I swear, one day I'm going to go away, and not bring anything with me, I'll just live in the wild, as an animal. You see, I can fly, and then I can hunt, and I could even burry or something at night. I like to take advantage of the powers that I have, but I don't think I do it enough. Actually, I don't think people at this school actually does that- take advantage of their powers. Like, in battles-" She said, feeling her self get passionate about the subject. "There people who would be able to win the battles, easily, but we have to think of strategy. Oh, I don't know, I'm not the person who should be talking about it." She said, trying to calm herself down. "Oh, have you read this?" She asked, holding up the book she was reading, Slaughter House Five. "It's a very, very good book."

"No, I haven't," he smiled, "But it's on my list of what I need to read. I read the blurb and thought it was quite interesting. I'm reading Terry Pratchett's Discworld series at them moment which are brilliant," He picked up a strawberry and ate it. "So what's it like being a head and all?"

"Well," She said, running her fingers through her hair, and pushing it back, while leaving little bits of frost in it, "I'm not just a Head, like, got a body and legs and things." She said, holding her face seriously, before laughing. "Sorry, no, but it's, um, hard. Well, not really hard, but everyone knows you, and they all seem to fear you, and actually, despite what people think, the Academics can be very hard to be the Head of, we're all so competitive with each other, always trying to be smarter or better than each other. It can become rather stressful at times, but even with it all, I like it. I like being feared, a bit, but not too much." She said, smiling. She scanned the room, her eyes stopping for a few seconds on a couple of people that she knew from different classes. "What type of music do you like?" She asked, finally looking back Jet.

"What type of music do you like?" What? Oh, god. Erm... "All types really," he replied. What could he say when he never really listened to music. He usually had his nose in a good book or was out wandering the forest or joggin about the place. Or writing a story. "What about you?"

Macy thought for a minute, running through all her favorite music in her head. She liked a lot of music, and it was hard which one she liked the most. "I'm not sure, I like lots of music." She said, smiling. "My friend has a really good collection of music, and he likes to copy cd's for me, which is nice It's widening my music knowledge. But I have gotten into Jazz recently, I really like that." She said, thinking back to the night she went to the Jazz night in the cafe in Cardsdale with Steve. The night he- "So, the Spies. Do you like it? Haha, becuase if you don't, I'm rather close to the Head, so I can tell her your complaints." She said, laughing, deciding to cut of the thought she had there. She would put it to the back of her mind, and continue with her conversation with Jet.

"No, I love being in the Spies and Kira's a great Head," he smiled. "She knows her stuff," he laughed a little. He wiped away some stray crumbs to one side of the table before taking a sip of his drink. He looked around and noticed they were the last ones here. Summer weather beckons to them. Pfft, what summer weather?!
