Jude wrinkled his nose at the fast approaching rainclouds. He still wasn't quite used to Orchid Hill's more 'British' climate. Technically, Orchid wasn't actually in Britain, but it was around about the same point on the map. Nobody was really sure where Orchid was. It just... was. Back in Texas, it'd rained, sure, but not like this. The rain here was cold- it was like bullets of ice and pelted him with a fierce rage. Back in Texas, it rained a lot during the summer, and it was a lukewarm sort of drizzle, though quite pleasent at times. Of course, there was always hurricane season to deal with, but that passed in the end. Orchid Hill's climate just felt weird. It was always so green. "Steve Ritzski?" he echoed curiously, frowning as he tried to picture his face. "The boy who blows up things?" Maybe Macy wouldn't need his company after all...

"Yes, the boy who blows up things. I'm quite amazed that you didn't called him 'Bonkers from Yonkers'...I'm not saying you would, though, it's just, eveybody calls him that, and he dosen't like it. But, yeah, he's cool." Macy felt something at her foot. She looked down and found a black cat, walking beside her. "Oh, Jude, this is my protector, kitty, whatever, Gypsy. She's the one who was the crow in the tree earlier." She picked up Gypsy, and carried her in the way she liked to be carried. "Gypsy, meet Jude." She told her cat, who eyed him, then looked up at Macy, seeming to forget about Jude.

He grinned at the little cat in Macy's hands. "I wouldn't call him that- it doesn't sound overly nice, does it?" Jude himself had never actually had a nickname. He was still waiting for the day somebody twigged his initials were 'J.D.' but it hadn't happened yet. Still, no nickname at all was better than 'Bonkers from Yonkers'. It wasn't fair. People could be pretty cruel at the best of times. "If you're having lunch with him, would three be a crowd?" Jude asked her cautiously.

"No, we usually eat with Rachel Hymer too, but she seems to be together with my ex-ish boyfriend. We were never really together, we went to the dance at the start of the year, and he was there when I got taken, and when I was rescued, I told him I couldn't be around other people...well, I couldn't. It sounds weird, but I'm blabbering again, arn't I?" She realised that she would ramble quite a bit sometimes. "But yes, you can eat with us, if you want. He wouldn't mind." She smiled, stroking Gypsy. "Do you have any pets?" She asked, changing the subject.

"Does a little sister count?" he smiled. "Aw, I'm far too mean to Tameron. She's a great kid." Jude never had a pet. He would've liked a dog, but... he didn't tend to get things when he was a kid. Once, he made his own little dog out of cardboard, but Tameron smashed it up when she was in a bad mood. She got into bad moods a lot. He did wish she hadn't smashed up his dog though. It'd been a nice dog. He'd coloured it in with crayons and everything. "Gypsy's really sweet," Jude smiled at her. "She wasn't your inspiration for a cat earlier, was she?"

"I don't know, we both can shape-shift, obviously, but think it's that cat's are known to land on their feet. But that isn't always true, I used to have a neighbor, who's cat would fall on her back. It was quite strange, you know. I think it died..." She said, frowning. "But, anyway. Gypsy just found me one day, and we we couldn't be seperated since then." She said, rubbing her cat's nose. "So, shall we go riding next week?" She asked, smiling.

Jude grinned at her. "Count me in." Yep, this was gonna be the start of a beautiful friendship...
