Well, as some of you know, Orchid Hill was based on Glenveagh Castle in Donegal. I found some pictures from when I was there about six years back, but as they're printed, I can't get them here.
But it did make me go and look for other ones, and a lot of them were scarily similar to mine - and some were just good. So, I did a little/a lot (depending on the photo) of editing (lighting, colour, saturation, etc) to them, to make them better, as some similar ones really were in a slightly desperate state.
I'm pretty sure Orchid doesn't have some of these places, like the 67 steps (total biatch to climb), but they do have some, and I'm putting them in here anyway.
So this is just so you can see if what you imagined looks like in reality. I'll probably adit and add more pictures to this as I come across them, so I'll leave comments in the cbox letting you know when I do =)
The Castle and Forest - I could have done this better, but the lighting in the picture was awful, knowing Donegal weather
The Tower - this wasn't originally black and white, but the colour was a bit drab; it looked better this way, and the lighting had to be fixed a bit as there was no variation at all.
The Castle - again, I couldn't really do much with this due to the lighting, but the shot is really close to a picture that's up on my wall (and I didn't even realise until a couple of months ago that it was Orchid, lol)
Glenveagh Lake/Glass Lake - these were quite good shots, they just needed a little blurring and colour editing
The little waterfall - I'm not too sure if Orchid has one of these, but it would be cute. Obviously the waterfall wasn't photographed like this, I just thought the colour looked cool.
A bench - and Orchid definitely has these, haha.
The tree - again, I don't know if there is one of these in Orchid, but it looks awesome. It looks kind of like our tree of impropriety...
These are the really, really steep 67 steps, which aren't in Orchid, but hey, I edited the picture anyway.
