Will sat at a table eating her dinner. Eugh. Broccoli and split pea soup? Who the hell in their right mind would make such a disastrous combination of horrible vegetables.
"Hey you," she jumped and fell backwards of her chair with her soup landing on top of her head. Great this was just her day.
"Oh crap, here lemme help you," Anton grabbed the bowl of her head and helped her to her feet.
"ANTON, why did you make me do that?" she asked angrily.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to...besides what was that that you were not really eating mucking about with instead?"
"Broccoli and Split Pea soup,"
"Nasty!"
"Yeah. Tell me, Who the hell in their right mind would make such a disastrous combination of horrible vegetables?"
"I know." he agreed and sat across from her.
"So how's the research on the ressurrection thing coming?" Will asked in barely a whisper.
"Oh, I haven't really been looking up on that much. What with you in hospital and helping your godparents and my mum." he let it slip.
"What's the matter with your mum?"
"Nothing,"
"Anton?"
"Nothing."
"What?"
"Ok, ok. She's got Thyroid Cancer,"
"Oh god. Anton I'm sorry,"
"It's fine,"
"No, it's not, how long?"
"Not long. They reckon six months at the most." his eye's filling up with tears.
"Anton," Will said softly and came round to him and put her armes around his neck. "Come on let's go outside and talk,"
"No, I'm ok,"
"No your not. Now come on,"
"No,"
"Anton, come o-"
"WILL I SAID NO!" he bellowed at her. She looked at him in shock and so did everyone else in the hall. "I'm sorry, I just don't want to talk right now,"
"It's fine, but if you ever need or want to you no where to find me. Yeah?"
"Yes," Anton nodded miserably.
Will sat on his knees and clung onto his neck for a while. He cried softly into her shoulder while everyone around them carried on with their meal. Will rosked him gently back and forward and comforted him as much as she could. After ten minutes he stopped and lifted his head, eyes puffy and red.
"You feel better now?" Will looked him in the eyes so he couldn't lie to her easily.
"Much better. Thank you so much Will for being understanding,"
"It's my job," Will snorted.
"And it's your quality. It's what makes you who you are today. Will, I never told you this before...but I've liked you since our second year at this school...I just couldn't figure out a way to tell you or get you alone." he said shyly.
"Aww that's so sweet of you," she kissed him.
"I liked that."
"So did I," and she started to kiss him.
Someone wolf whistled and soon the whole hall was cheering and wolf whistling and some making vomiting noises and some gagging.
"Your lips taste good," Anton pulled back.
"So do yours," Will answered back.
"How about some Broccoli and Split Pea soup. Hmm?"
"Don't," they got up and walked out of the hall.
