Will stared at Kira.
Ok...that might take a while but sure, I'll try. Will thought.
She sat down on the wooden floor and closed her eyes concentrating.
In and out, that's it keep breathing.
Let it all out.
She opened her eyes and looked at Kira again, only this time she appeared more read than before...along with the rest of the hall.
What is going on?

Kira watched Will carefully, her lips pressed together. This thing was 50/50- it would either work, or it wouldn't. It was really up to Kira to keep herself, and Will calm.
Then she noticed something strange.
"Your eyes are red."

Will kept looking at Kira. The whole place had turned red. She could see nothing but red, only the outlines of things.
"Kira....I can't see anything properly," Will said calmly although her mind started to race.
This had only happened twice.
Firstly when her parents had died and then when Anton had been killed.
Oh,god...
Will shut her eyelids and tried to reduce her temperature. It didn't work, it only increased again.
What is happening to me?

Kira knelt by Will's side, a frown creasing her forehead. "Will? Will, what's wrong?"
Her eyes were red; completely red- the the irises bleeding out and filling the rest of the eyes with this bloody colour. Kira watched with a sense of mounting panic. She hadn't caused that there- had she? She'd known Will was upset- but she'd just- she'd just tried to help her...
"Will!"

Will heard the panick in Kira's voice and frowned.
"Kira, I'm okay, I just need to..." Will suddenly soared past boiling temperature.
"Kira, whatever you do, don't touch me," Will said sternly. SHe only knew that Kira would get burned, "I don't know what's happening and it's not your fault,"
Suddenly Will clutched her head as she felt a sharp pain searing through it and her boady started to radiate more heat than it had before.
"Back off! Now!" Will said a bit louder than she ahd intended to.

Kira didn't need telling twice. Any water she could produce as some sort of shield to the heat now radiating from Will would evaporate. She had no way of protecting herself. She moved backwards; further and further; until she reached the opposite wall. She leant against it; her face a frozen mask; watching as her friend seemed to glow with heat...
... and with power.

Will sat there. She was overheating passed the normal.
"Kira? I......" Will stood up and opened her eyes again. Everything was red and was completely out of sight. No outlines, no image, just...red.
Suddenly she erupted into flames.
"Wow," She said breathlessly.
She lifted her arms up and examined it. Her whole body was engulfed in flames and she felt hot and feeling quite sick but she was ecstatic.
"Very cool," Will said.
She turned and faced Kira. Everything was still in red but she could see everything like it would be in normal vision.
"What do you think?"

... What the hell was...?
Will's flaming body turned to face her; and through the orange robes that dressed Will, Kira saw the gleaming white glint of a smile.
"What do you think?"
Kira shrank back from Will instinctively. "I think... I think that's one hell of a way to let it all out."

Will heard an edge to Kira's voice. She was right. This was on hell of a way to let it all out.
Suddenly the flames dissipated. She was back to normal now. Though some of her clothes had big wholes in it; around the shoulder and elbows, knees, shins etc.
She ran to the stage and grabbed her coat.
"Well, yeah, I feel much better, you really are a great help Kira," she smiled gladly at her friend.
Then for no reason,she started to laugh.

Kira smiled uncertainly, still not quite sure what had just happened. But still, the grateful note in Will's voice was clear and sweet, so Kira just accepted she'd done something right, shrugged and turned away.
"No more... emo Will, then?" she asked with a giggle.

"Hell no, I don't even know...you know what, forget it, I'm happy now," Will walked over to her.

"No," Will said after a moment, "I'll stay, hang out with you. We haven't had a decent talk in a while,"
Will went and sat down on the steps leading up to the stage.

"I'm not much good at keeping people happy," Kira smiled at her friend faintly, crossing the room to the stage, and beginning to pull out different weapons.
