Will was leaning against Jessen, sipping her mocha and eating her chocolate chip cookie.
"Enjoying yourself?" he pulled back some of her hair from her shoulders.
"Mmm hmm," Will replied as best as she could without food tumbling from her mouth and all around them.
"Good," he mumbled back.
"What's up?" Will finally swallowed the last of her cookie.
"Nothing," Jessen's tone stayed the same.
"Liar. What's the matter?"
"I said nothing, please don't push me Will," Jessen sighed.
"Fine," Will pouted. She shifted slightly and rested her head under his chin, "Hehe, you haven't shaved, have you?"
"Nope," Jessen was now getting annoyed with her but for a different reason other than she was being annoying.
They sat there not talking for a very long time. Will had fallen asleep. He could tell this by her soft and steady breathing which was slightly louder than usual.
He gently put one hand underneath her head and lifted her up. He slid from underneath her and put her gently down again.
"Until, the next time," he whispered.
God, I don't want to do this, but I have no other choice, he shuddered at the thought of what he had been oredered to do.
How could anyone do that?
He didn't know and he couldn't guess but he was soon about to find out for himself.
Will woke with a start to find that Jessen was nowhere in sight. She rubbed her eyes wearily and sat up. Everything was quite blurred and not making sense and her head was spinning.
"Jessen?" she asked out loud.
"He's gone miss, but he told me to give you this as soon as you woke up," the waiter handed her a slip of paper as he took her mug away.
"Thank you," she slipped it into her pocket and pulled on her duffle coat, scarf, hat and gloves. She got her bag and left.
She walked over the square to a street light and opened the slip of paper and it had his writing on it.
"That's strange, I wonder what he has planned for that day..." Will thought nothing but this the whole way back to her dorm.
