Ok, so she finally spotted him. After days and weeks of looking for the person she had actually come here for besides learning to control her powers, she had finally found him. But the one thing she wanted to do more than anything, she couldn't. She was scared. He knew her by a different name now and it hurt her more than she could say. He just sat there, reading his favourite book a always. Her mums book, which oincidently had the name that he called her by. Her heart sank thinking about it. She would never forget what happened to him or how it happened and more to the point, why it had happened. The memory wasso vivid and she relived it nearly every single night. And it still scared her like hell and beyond and now that she was here...well it didn't help any, especially when his face haunted her. She wanted her old boyfriend back but the doctor had said it was never going to happen so before he woke up she ahd left him a note on his bedside table with a few words on it.
Sorry for what happenend to you. Just remember I'll always watch over you and I will find you again... your ****friend xXx
The bit before friend had been blotched by a tear and he had never known what it had stood for but he should've guessed. If he hadn't....? Well that didn't bare thinking about. She couldn't and wouldn't think about it. It was just to dam painful... Well there's just one thing for it! she sighed and got up and walked over to him. "Hey," she said awkwardly, never mind how awkward she felt.

Jet sat on the couch his head away with the.....well his head was away else where. He had tried to read his favourite book that Charlene had left him but he couldn't concentrate for some reason. His mind kept wandering through faces which where familiar to him..yrt not familiar. Had he met them before? No. Did they seem to stand out a lot? Yes. Should he care? No. Did he? Yes. Ok, so this was confusing and his brain wasn't coping well with it. The hairs on the back of his neck prickled. Was someone watching him? Maybe, how was he to know. Did he care? Kind of. "Read the dam book!" he muttered to himself. He looked down and must have read the same line over for what? The hundred and twentieth time?! Concentrate, dam you! But it was no use. His brain was being to frisky today and unsettled. He just wanted to know where she was and put a name to the faces that he knew but didn't. No names leaped out, well apart from one. One which was in the book and the one he was most desiring to meet. Charlene he sighed. The most wonderful and most beautiful and most w-
"Hey," a familiar yet unfamiliar voice sounded from beside him but also sounded awkward. Thanks for spoiling my train of thou... "Hi..." his eyes widened. It was her! It was her!!! "Charlene? Is that really you?" he asked in total shock and elation. He stood up and faced her. It was, it had to be. Just had to be. Her face was so familiar. It was one of the many faces in his head that he had so wanted to place with a name. But Charlene was her name. "Charlene? R-right?" he asked again.

"Charlene?R-right?" Jet asked her again. His eyes were sparkling with joy and excitement and he looked ecstatic. Then why didn't she feel the same way? Because it wasn't her name and she wished he would only remember everything. No I'm Abby...well....Pauley to you and I will make you re....... "Yes, I'm Charlene," she frowned but knew it would be better of keeping her name like that. Jet...please remember me... "How are you?" she asked still feeling very awkward. She just wanted to grab him and kiss more than ever and everything to be the way it was before the accident. Never going to happen, "Jet, do you remember me?" she asked uneasily. She felt sick now and she knew she would have to explain it all some time. But when?

Ok then.... He stared at he blankly then became confused. What is she on about? "I'm great thanks, and yes I do, you're Charlene, you're my gal," he winked at her. Well, she was back with him now after what? five years? six? Who knew...who cared?! He drew her into his arms and hugged her for what seemed eternity. "I missed you so much baby," he finally said. She was his gal and he would never...well maybe he did but he would never let her go. "Where have you been? Where'd you go?" he stood back and looked at her.

"I've...been all over really. After what happened-" she stopped. Should she say? What if he didn't remember? What if he did? How would he- "Do you remember anything?" she asked uncertainly,"Actually it doesn't matter. Long time no see, huh?" She looked him in those wonderfully blue eyes. Hoping that he would realise her again. Please, please, please! she thought furiously. It was horrible to see her beau like this. "Jet?"

Ok... "Yeah, it has been," he agreed sitting back down on the couch and bringing her with him. "I missed you a lot," he said putting his arm around her neck and bringing her closer. Longing to kiss her again. Longing just to...just to hold her tight. To hold tight and never let go. But he wasn't going to do that unless that's what she wanted. His thoughts trailed away as she sighed. "What's up?"

Her head rested on his shoulders. It felt like old times, only, this time was worse. He wasn't him or should she say she wasn't her. Well not to him anyway. To him, she was Charlene. Don't think about that Abby. He'll remember you someday....someday in the not to distant future. Hopefully. She sighed in her sadness. This was killing her. Maybe she shouldn't have come here after him. Maybe he would've been better of without her or maybe her without him. NO! "What's up?" she was startled from her thoughts. "What? Oh, nothing, just thinking, haha. Jet do you remember a letter lying on you bedside table at the hospital?" she took a chance at this, "And if so, what did you do with it?" Ok, the moment of truth for her. Did she want to hear it?

Hospital? Letter? What? "What?" he looked at her in confusion. Unless she meant the car crash...but how would she know about that.

No. There it was. The truth behind the eyes. He knew what she was talking about. "The letter on you bedside table when you were in hospital because of the...because of the...car accident," she nearly choked up. It still scared her. After all this time. It still scared her. Ok, her mum had signed to her that it was never going to work out between them and had sort of showed it through her books. But it was different. Her mum and dad didn't understand. They could see them but they couldn't hear them and that made all the difference in the world. I just wish she would support me in this... But then again she supposed it was true.

So she was thinking of the same one. The note on his bedside table had been a mysterious one and anonymous... "How do you know about the letter?" he asked starting to get suspicous of her. He still wondered who had left it there. He didn't know anyone. The doctors and nurses said that his family were the only ones who had visited him bar a girl.

Here goes nothing, she sighed. "Because...I-I'm the one who wrote it," she looked up at him and stared into those eyes lovingly only to have shocked, confused and disbeleiving ones stare back at her. "I wrote it because I couldn't bear seeing you like that and the doctors said that you might not survived but you did. I knew you would and I said I would find you again, didn't I?" Abby asked trying to calm the atmosphere down again. This wasn't going as smoothly as she had hoped for.
