Madeleine grinned. "Rad?! It's not really, but it comes in useful in battle. Animals can have advantages that small, teenage girl does not."

"Yes, like being able to gnaw on peoples ankles without looking completely ridiculous," Tamika laughed.

Madeleine laughed. "Yeah, something like that..."

Tamika started thinking of would it be allowed. Gnawing someones ankles could hardly be allowed to happen in war, although it might... Who knows... "So..." Tamika began, searching for a new conversation topic, "What type of music are you in to?"

Madeleine stared out of the window into the forest and sighed gently to herself, before Tamika's voice called her back. "What sort of music are you into?" She smiled gently, returning from her reverie. "Anything good - indie, rock, emo, metal, things like that. If it's good enough, I'll learn to play it. What about you?"

"Anything from the 60's back mainly. Garage, Psych-Punk, Rat Pack... Quite varied through the vintage ages." Tamika began to cross her eyes as a form of entertainment, she realised the conversation had died and so, this was the next most fun thing to do.

Madeleine shuddered at Tamika's eye-crossing. If there was one thing that grossed her out... "I don't see how anyone couldn't like the Rat Pack... and that's really gross," she added, chuckling.

Tamika uncrossed her eyes and grinned, "You like Rat Pack too? That's so awesome, I've never met many people whom also like them. And I could be grosser and start doing double jointed things if you like."

"I don't mind double-jointed things, it's just when people start messing about with their eyes..." Madeleine winced. "And most of my family love them, especially my mum. Soundtrack to my childhood."

"I'll have to remember not to do the 'drinking wodka through your eyeball' trick then," Tamika grinned. "That's so cool you grew up with that music, I got brought up with Russian folk music and country... Well, when I lived with my dad anyways."

Madeleine shuddered. "Don't even joke, that's gross. How long did you live with your dad for?" Folk music had been a major point of her childhood - after all, she was a gypsy. She just had to hide that fact, that was all.

"Who says I was joking? I can get carried away when I have a bottle of wodka," she laughed. "I lived with my dad until I was about 11, then I went and lived with my aunt." Tamika started thinking about vodka, it had been a while since she had drank her mother countries most famous drink, "I could really do with some, shame there is no chance around here..."

Madeleine started to laugh. "What, vodka? In this school? I doubt you'd get any." Hmm, vodka. Madeleine didn't drink - not that she was teetotal or anything, she just didn't, generally. There had been one time, though, at a ceilidh for someone's birthday, where Shaun had given her a little too much vodka and... Well, let's just say that she spent the next morning over the toilet while he laughed as hard as he could at her.

"I may try the pub in town. Might head in later and give it a go," Tamika grinned. She reached in to her pocket and lifted out a small piece of plastic, shaped like a credit card, "With this, it should not be too hard."

She frowned gently at the small bit of plastic in Tamika's hand. "And what might that be?"
