Name: Jude Dorrian (affectionately nicknamed, 'J.D.')
Age: 16
Physical Description: Jude is tall-ish, around 5"7. His hair is dark brown- usually tousled, and his eyes are pale blue/grey. He has a little bit of stubble, but strangely enough, he's found it suits him. Besides, it also makes him look a little older than he is, and gets him some more credibility down at the pub.
Anything's worth a try.
Clothing Description: Clothes?! What are they? No, only kidding. Jude wears really whatever he can. He goes for comfort rather than fashion, and he's sort of ashamed to admit this, but he knows how to bargain hunt. His sister and her friends quite often like to take him shopping with them, because again, he usually knows what works with what. He doesn't enjoy it as such... he's just good with colours and stuff.
Personalty: Jude likes to mess about- he loves to laugh and joke, but the good thing about him is he isn't above having a laugh at himself. If he makes a mistake, he doesn't fire up about it, or get angry with himself. He does what the books tell us to do- he learns from them. Jude's a little funny about money too. He doesn't like to spend it. He'd much prefer to go for a walk around the countryside than pay for some worthless gadget or go to the cinema. As a result of this, he has very few material posessions, but he maintains he likes it this way. He doesn't like to be tied down by stupid things like that.
He also harbours a hatred of television- he'd much rather curl up with a good book, because everything actors do on T.V. just feels fake and so gets on his nerves. A book is something you can touch- a book is something you can take real meaning from. He particularly enjoys some of those more classic 20th century novels. One of his favourites is Catcher in the Rye.
Another thing Jude values is close relationships. He's a good judge of character- excellent with expressions, body language, etc, and whenever he meets a person he can usually guage whether or not he wants form one of these friendships with them. And once you're Jude's friend, you're always Jude's friend, and you can't do much about it.
The thing he wants above all in life is for people just to be happy. And when they're not, he tries to fix it. He never plans to let those tears catch him out.
History: When Jude was growing up, he lived with his dad, and his sister, Tameron in Texas. His mom died a long time ago- whenever he was maybe about three or so, and his sister was only a baby. Both his parents had been quite young whenever they'd gotten married- they'd been highschool sweethearts growing up in Austin, and at 18 they left school and got married as quickly as possible. Jude doesn't know much about their lives before that- he never knew his grandparents.
After Jude was born, his parents moved to Housten, because Jude's dad was a bit of a musician, and thought it would be a good place to get a leg up in his career. However, tragedy struck when at 22, his mother (whose health had never been the best) had a massive stroke and dropped dead on the spot. Devastated, Jude's father ploughed on with his musical career with a ruthless determination. So focused was he on suceeding that more basic responsibilites came down to Jude; such as looking after his little sister. Jude doesn't have any baby photos or anything, but one of his earliest memories was changing his sister's nappy, something he's sure must've occurred whenever he was around 4 or 5.
Finally, a light was shone on their family, and their dad found a new niche in singing about the woes of war. It was a refreshingly cynical, bitter twist on the Orchid War, and was a darn good way of giving people some relief. However, the derogatory comments on society he was making were hardly going to bring him nothing but gold. When Jude was 11, his father was mauled by a gang of... goblins, possibly, and next time the boy saw his father, he was dead.
Jude and Tameron were taken into Care, but of course by this stage, they were both beginning to use their powers. It was somewhat a relief to the orphanage staff whenever Prof. Hoodham offered them both places in the school. Both Dorrians accepted it delightfully, and soon found themselves placed within a far more stable environment- something they both appreciated.
Gifts: Metal 'bending', invisibilty and enhanced senses.
Pets: He wants a three-toed sloth, but has the strangest feeling that this ain't gonna happen...
Other: Yes! He speaks Spanish! How can you not grow up in Texas without speaking Spanish?
Group: Spies
