Lee gave her a quick kiss on the cheek as he straightened up.
Five more awkward seconds. Five more splinters.
"Bye, Madeleine," he said softly, and left.

The feel of his soft lips lingered on her cheek.
"Bye," she said quietly as he left, after the five second silence.
She leant her head back against the wall, and sighed.
