Luke sat in the Principals Office putting on his best 'good boy' face. He didn't feel good though- his parents had just moved all the way across the country and he was forced to go to yet another stupid school. He hated all the moving, but life always had it's perks for Luke. A new school, a new chance to start over, new girls to screw around with before the word got out that he was a complete sh*thead. Luke's mouth twisted into an evil smile. The man in front of him, Professor Hoodham, or whatever you called him, glanced up at Luke at that precise moment and his brow furrowed ever so slightly. Luke cursed his bad luck and in a nanosecond his twisted grin began a glowing smile, immediately all lines of doubt were erased from the old timer's face.
"So Luke, Adrianna welcome to Orchid Hill, I know what it's like to be in the position you're in now, starting a new school and having to meet the human air-bag of a Principal so I won't bore you with a long winded speech, I'll leave that up to your Heads. So short and snappy- you have been put into your sections?"
Luke and Adrianna nodded.
"Very good. From what your files say you both sound like good hard-working students which is what all pupils should strive to be and I would like to remind you that Orchid, although divided, is one huge community that depends on everyone's friendship and co-operation to run as smoothly as possible, so I would appreciate it if you two followed the rules and I don't have to call you to my office often."
Luke shot a quick glance in his sister's direction and their eye's met; each knew what the other was thinking.
Follow the rules? We're going to have to be the masters of deception here...

Luke walked the final remaining length to his dorm alone. It was good to be alone, peaceful. After living most of his life with only his family for company, it was the only thing that Luke was apprehensive about- the amount of unwanted attention he would get now that he had joined Orchid three months after term had began. He hoped that most of the student body was grown up enough to realize that he was a 'lone wolf' and was determined to stay that way. Hopefully, they wouldn't kick up as much of a fuss as his last school. The party with its pathetic childish snacks and its crude "Welcome to Glenlegiate " banner still haunted him in his sleep, everyone was so annoyingly persistent that he nearly blew his 'perfect student' cover on the first day too. He had come so close to doing the most idiotic thing in his entire life, that he had to be extra careful with his temper from then now. Luke shuddered at the memories that he had tried so hard to forget.
The door knob was cool under his grip as Luke entered his dorm, preparing himself for the worst. But no one shouted out
"It's a new guy!"
Or jumped off their beds to ask him a million questions about... everything they could think of. In fact, there was no one in the room at all; Luke breathed a sigh of relief and thanked the gods for small mercies, before dumping his stuff under one of the unoccupied beds and deciding whether to face the music now or wait until later. Choosing the latter Luke pulled out his bag and started unpacking it into a wardrobe, after all dinner was in after an hour and not many people could pester him and Adrianna when they were eating. Hopefully.
