Kira slid her finger across the edge of the dagger with an almost affectionate softness. Principal Hoodham wasn't watching her as she played with her knife, but reading over some papers he'd recieved from the Academics, his brow furrowed. Kira sighed inwardly, her eyes flicking up to the large ticking clock opposite her. The seconds were sliding past like slime. Kira was immensely frustrated. She hadn't expected the fact that she wasn't going on this mission to hit her so badly- after all, Kira knew she had to be selective with whenever she went out and did her Spy work. Maybe she wouldn't have minded so much if Deron hadn't been so deeply involved in it all- but she still would've minded. The first of her chosen Spies had already arrived. Jude Dorrian sat in silence, his pale eyes fixed on the darting light reflected off her blade. From his clenched fists, she could tell he was tense, but whether this was in excitement or apprehension she did not know. He was capable at least. He'd proved that to her a number of times during training. She didn't know much about him, but he seemed like a nice enough guy. Five more torturous seconds slid by... Jude sat up expectantly, and after a couple more seconds, Kira heard it too. The unmistakable sound of approaching footsteps. Ailith was on her way up.

Ailith knocked on the door, gently but loud enough to hear. Another skill to be learned by a superior spy was how to knock doors. Fact. A knock, like a handshake, could get you anywhere. That's all besides the point ... "Come in Miss Rayner." Prof. Hoodham's voice sounded through the door. Ailith opene the door and shut it quietly behind her. She sensed three people in the room but her eyes went instantly to the clock. Two minutes late. Could have been worse "Sorry I'm late. Someone thought it would be funny if the doors were locked in the all the girls dorms. No doubt revenge will be had though." "Ah, thank you for letting me know. Miss Rayner this is Mr Dorrian, Mr Dorrian, Miss Rayner." Mr Dorrian stood and offered his hand with a smile. "Jude." "Hey Jude." She took the hand and smiled back. It instantly dropped. "I'm so sorry that was completely unintentional." "It's fine." He laughed. "Ailith." They shook. Her face said nice to meet you, inside she was saying OH MY WORD YOU IDIOT, AILILTH! Still, he seems friendly enough. Stood up, and everything. Hope he doesn't hate me now. Hope he's good. Uh hello Ailith! Get your head back down here, of course he's good! "Ok as you Miss Rayner and you Mr Dorrian will be spending the evening in Cardsdale I will ask you now if you have any doubts about going through with this?" "No, Sir." Jude replied as Hoodham looked at him. "No, Sir." Ailith shook her head as he transferred his gaze. "You're happy with your choice Kira? You don't want to second thought?"

Hey, Jude! He never got tired of that little pun. It was an awesome song to be named after. Yes, it's true, his parents named him after it. They were just like that. If Billie had ever lived to hear the song 'Hey, there, Delilah' he would've cursed himself for not writing it. It was exactly the kind of music his dad liked too. Ailith Rayner- a quick sweep of his eyes gave him some very basic information. She was dark blonde, quite small, perhaps around 5 foot or so, and her eyes were a striking green. They were sharp- observative- and her grip was firm. Two things were for certain- 1. She was good at this spy thing, otherwise, she wouldn't be here right now. 2. She was someone he already knew he would like. Her tone, and the light-hearted comment she'd made in spite of the situation told him as much. "You're happy with your choice, Kira? You don't want to second thought?" Jude's eyes flickered to Kira, who's lips were pursed. She was angry about something- what he couldn't tell, but it'd become more pronounced as Ailith had entered the room. Was she annoyed she wasn't on this mission? "Not at all, sir," Kira replied steadily, her tone quite even, concealing whatever emotions she may be feeling. "Both Spies are extremely capable. They've both been given their weapons. And they both know what to do. Except this- " Kira turned to Jude, who met her eye boldly. "I'm going to bug you. I feel it could be a safer way of recording the exact information. Any problems?" "None." "Good," she smiled briefly, and rustled in her pocket. "Take this, and put it in an... appropriate place." Jude concealed his grin at her wording. "Will do." "Right, if that's everything," Prof. Hoodham rubbed his hands together, "both of you, go get ready. Leave at 6 p.m. exactly."

"Just one thing. What's the nature of this meeting? Are we in suits, are we casual, are we just dragged backwards through a hedge and had a fight with a rottweiler or what?" Ailith was very careful about costume. If this was going to be some posh 'do' then you couldn't wear some hobo clothes you found lying around you room. However if you showed up like a lord and everyone else is in their hobo clothes. Well, either way you were going to be noticed. "Do we even know?" She added.

Jude was forced to suppress another grin. Yeah, he definitely liked this Ailith girl. "I'd say- blend in," Kira shrugged. "Look, most of these recruits are part of the youth culture. They'll be dressed like normal teenagers- you do the same. Your disguises don't have to be too detailed, just blend in with the crowd. A wig and a pair of contacts should do it." "Shall one of us snoop around whilst the other records the information?" Jude asked carefully. Kira considered him for a few seconds. "I see no reason why not. Alright, one of you look about and see if you can find out anything extra- but for god's sake be careful!" Prof. Hoodham stood up and nodded at them both. "That will be all you two. Dismissed."
