((This is a conversation between Macy's mother, Naomi and Professor Hoodham))
Naomi Deltine waited nervously outside the large oak doors of her daughter's headmaster of Orchid Hill Academy. She dug her middle finger into her thumb while clutching her purse. She felt she was back in school and had done something wrong, waiting to be shouted at by her principle.
Finally the doors opened and an man, looking about in his late 60's came out and told she that she could come in now. She nervously shuffled into the large room and sat down on one of the chairs facing the large desk.
"Welcome Miss Deltine to Orchid Hill Academy. I am pleased for you to join me."
Naomi glared out the window, ignoring the headmaster's welcoming.
"Sir-"
"Call me Major." The principle interrupted her. She swallowed and started again.
"Major-what happened to my daughter. I-" she started to crack up and tears began to fill her eyes. "I heard that she had been kidnapped. How dare you let this happen to my daughter?! I sent her here so she could do something about her-powers.And you let this happen to her? I saw her this morning. WHAT DID THEY DO TO HER?" She stood up in disgust and threw her arms about to show her emotions.
"Please, Miss Deltine, our school has been under attack for years by enemies. But this incident is a one-time thing. We have raised this security to the highest point, and will not happen again." He tried to reassure. "what happened to your daughter is not acceptable, and so help me, it will not happen again, to any of my students!" He stood up, and Naomi could feel his power. She sank back enter her chair and lowered her head.
"I'm taking Macy out of this school." She said quietly.
"Excuse me? Do you know her role in this school? She in the head of the Academics, a coveted role that is key to this school. I know how worried you are about your daughter, but I am sorry, I can not let you do this to her. I'm sure if you ask her yourself, you will find out that she will not let you take her from this school. Without this school, these students would be outcasts with their powers. They would not be able to control them. They need to learn how to use them to their potential."
Naomi scowled and sank lower into her seat. "Fine." she whispered. "But-if anything, anything, like this happens to any of the students, Macy will be out quicker than you can say..eh..cappachino!"
Professor Hoodham smiled. "That's fine. I'm glad we could have this talk."
Naomi grabbed her purse and stuck it under her arm before storming out of the office and into the corridor, to be surprised by a student running along, trying to catch a frog that suddenly changed into a sparrow then into a rabbit. "Freaks." She whispered, heading towards the main entrance.
