((This is seen though the eyes of Steve Ritzski))
Steve walked wearily into the battle training room, to be greeted by Anke, who was already in her gear. She ran over to him, as he came though the doors, and grabbed his bag, and ran over to the other side of the Battle Training room and sat down on the floor. He followed her, but not actually looking at her, but at the room. He looked over at the stage on the far side, which was looking empty, and back around to the doors that he had just come through.
He finally came over to Anke, and opened up his bag, looking into it, though all the drawings and random things he liked to collect, and brought out his things. When he was ready, he turned around, to find that Anke was already in her starting position, in the middle of the room.
"You ready?" She called over to him, and he stood up, and had no choice than to go and fight her.
He went into the centre of the room, and went into the starting position for hand-to-hand combat.
"One...two...three..." Anke whispered, looking into his eyes. She then sprang on her feet, towards him, but he blocked her with his wrist. She did her usual, jump behind him and try to kick him, but he'll block her, by turning around too quickly for her to get him. He realised that he was rather fast in training, but anywhere else, he'd be rather slow to react to things.
She wanted to go further, but Steve just dropped to the floor. Anke fell down beside him, and tried to get his attention, but his mind was elsewhere.
"Are you okay, Ritzski?" She asked him, trying to get him to look her in her eyes. He then realised that his hair must have been jet-black, and he didn't want to get into why it was black, with her.
"Um, do you want to just do some power-fighting?" He asked her, standing up.
"Yeah.." She said, standing up, still not convinced that he was okay.
They went back to their starting positions, and this time, Steve started. He sent electrical waves though the air, but she defended herself, by creating an air shield around her. She tripped him up with waves of air, and he fell to the floor, creating an explosion near the door. He sent more electrical currents though the air, and she tried to defend herself again, but she missed one, and she got a shock though her left arm. She screamed, and started to make the air around Steve's neck tighten. She began to raise him off the ground, as she choked him, and before he lost consciousness, he set off and explosion near her feet, throwing her down.
He fell to the floor, rubbing his neck, and looked over at Anke, who was still on the ground, but sitting up with her black hair fallen over her face.
"What was that for?!" She screamed at him.
"What? You were choking me!"
"It wasn't that hard!" She screamed back at him, beginning to stand up.
"Well, I'm sorry." He said, not wanting to get into it. "I think that's enough for today." He said, beginning to walk over to his things.
"It's okay, I'll forgive you." She replied, following him. She bent down beside him, as he put his things away. She looked at him funnily, and he didn't really know what to do. He wanted to just go, but before he could, Anke was suddenly...kissing him. It was the strangest thing that he had ever experienced. He didn't like it, either. He sparked her away, and she looked at him again, but with question of her face. He couldn't think of anything to say, but she then seemed to be back to normal.
"Um, do you want to go to the, um, formal..together?" She then asked him, pushing her hair behind her ear.
"I, eh, I think I'm going with Macy.." He said, not trying to look at her. In actual fact, he hadn't asked her, but they both knew that they'd wind up sitting together. She had said before that she was beginning to get terrified of it, since at the last formal, she got taken. The last formal, Steve had been in the Hospital wing, and had only heard that the Head of the Academics, had been kidnapped, but he didn't know who she was then.
He snapped out of thinking about Macy, and looked up at Anke, but she was getting up.
"I'm sorry." He said over to her, but she kept walking. She then walked though the wall, leaving Steve by himself on the floor. He started to get up, and headed for the door, still not entirely sure about what had happened, but he had to look forward to the formal.
