Will wasn't moving. But Misa felt the towers begin to expand and crack. It was like the onion skin process speed up ten fold. She only had a few seconds before they would fall.
Change of plan. Thinking on her feet, Misa pushed forward, pushing out the walls of the chamber to encompass Will. Then she felt down deep into the earth. Sure enough she found similar attributes beneath this room as the one in which she'd displayed her power to Madeleine.
Taking a deep breath she pushed herself up above ground level, leapt gracefully into the air and before Will even had time to blink, collapsed the chamber she had set beneath Will's feet. Will dropped like a stone, down and down. Misa heard a satisfying splash just before she landed. She had won - Will had no escape.
However, the one thing she had not counted on was the fact Will had set the entire arena aflame.
The saying didn't usually go out of the earth and into the fire, but, well...hadn't Misa always been an exception?
Misa thought this just as she touched down. As the wave of dizzying nausea that often comes with a burn flowed through her she had the oddest compulsion to laugh...she didn't notice that someone doused the whole floor in water before she passed out to the smell of her own burning flesh.
