Jude shook his head. "Steve, I'm sorry, but y'all know as well as I do that it just ain't gonna work out that way. Tell you what though," Jude glanced up the aisle. "I could go and ask Nurse Gornray to give you an official departure date. They can't keep you here much longer anyway; you're not a prisoner. Yeah?" It was the best he could do, really, although he wasn't sure if Steve would believe that. Steve probably wouldn't believe that Jude wanted to help Steve do exactly that.

"Like heck I'm a prisoner! Hey, have you ever been in prison? I was once, it's a funny story, I'll tell you it sometime. Hey, Nurse Gorn-ra-hay! Come 'ere!" He shouted over at the store. A few seconds later the nurse ran out, over at his bed. "What is it? What's wrong? What did you do?" She asked, and Steve couldn't help but laugh inwardly at her, at her shredded nurves. Expecially with him. But what else could he do all day, in a room where he's stuck with a load of people who are terrified of him? "Oh, nothing, just when can I leave? Like, I'm fine, trust me, so when can I leave?" He said, sitting up further on his bed, hugging his knees. "What? Oh, I don't know. We'll sort it out in the morning. Anyway, you haven't had your night-time medication, have you?" she said, going over to the shelf that had all his things lying on it. She picked up the usual things and came back. Steve didn't want his meds, and wanted to explode a thing or two, to get her to leave, but, for the sake of Jude, he gritted his teeth and showed his arm. He still couldn't remember what exactly happened on Christmas day, but it didn't seem to be too healthy for people around him to go though again. But they didn't understand, he needed to be free sometimes, to clear his mind, and break away. A few minutes later, the nurse stepped away with the needle, and came back with the cup of pills that he also had to take. He gulped them down, and gave the paprer cup back to her. She tunred around and went back to her office, and Steve couldn't help notice her shaking slightly as she walked away from him. He rolled his eyes and turned back around to Jude. He could feel his hair turn back to brown, as the pills did their work. "Do you think, that to be normal, I have to be given drugs?" He asked, lying back on his pillow.

Jude smiled. "Why would y'all want to be normal, anyway, Steve? You don't want to be like them, do you? Nah... they give you the medication because you need them. I know it sucks but... you do. It's not about being normal; it's..." It's... well, how could he really describe it? "Whenever we found you... you weren't you," Jude bit his lip. "We tried talking to y'all but... I mean, Macy was talking to you, and hugging you and you just didn't... do anything. Don't you remember? She was crying..."

"No, I don't remember. Augh, I don't know, it's so confusing. I don't want to have to take them, but I have to, but I don't want to, but I have to, and it goes on like that, you know? I, eh, I don't want to be any different from what I'm like now, but I don't want to have to be like me, by taking drugs. It's like a monster, or a curse, or something. But we all have them, I suppose." He said, sighing. He rubbed his head, looking around him. "But I don't know, I have to live with it. Just some times, I think I can be free, that it'll just...go away. But it won't, and I hate it. I want to be me, but without parts of me. I'm sorry, how are you? He asked, wanting to get the subject of him. He didn't care if he had asked him how he was already, maybe Jude's emotions had changed, or something.

"I'm fine," Jude reminded him. "Really, I am." He was. It was Steve that wasn't fine. But he obviously didn't want to have to keep talking about it. And Jude didn't blame him. It wasn't a nice topic. And Jude was running out of worthwhile things to say. And Nurse Gornray seemed to realize this. She was watching him like a freaking hawk. "I am, I am," Jude repeated, moving slightly closer to Steve, feeling a little awkward under her glare.

Steve stared at the ceiling again, and breathed deeply. "Yeah.." He said, quietly. After taking his medication, he would usually be slightly tired, but soon enough, his energy levels would be up again. He waited a minute or two, and he felt his hair start to turn multicoloured again. He sat up again, and felt back to his normal self. "So, yeah, hey, um, what was I going to say? Oh.." He said, trying to recover some sort of anything that he could say. "Like..yeah." He finally said, feeling slightly defeated from his spinning mind. "Yeah, have your classes started yet? I'n not saying that I want to be out from them, but I want to be out."

"She'll think we're conspiring, if she hears y'all talking like that," Jude smirked slightly, moving closer again. Goddammit. That woman just didn't trust him. He guessed it was the Stetson thing. But he wasn't wearing one now... Maybe she was one of those people who just thought guys shouldn't wear hats. Jude's lip curled. If that were the case... and he wanted to annoy her... Would a top hat covered in peacock feathers be going too far? Oh, no. Surely not. Not for Jude. "I can probably bring you homework," Jude offered, a little apologetically. "So you don't fall behind, I mean. Not because I hate you."

"Oh, no, I'm always behind. Like, some classes, I don't even go. The teachers don't even care, though. I can just blame it on schizophrenia or whatever, and then they feel all ashamed and don't ask any more questions. But Macy always lectures me about it, and then says that she's going to teach me whatever I miss in class, so I basically can't escape. But you can bring me my work, but I'll probably never do it. Why do I need all these subjects anyway? I can read, I can write and I can do maths. There, perfect. I'm just going to become an artist, like my mom, I think. I don't wanna work, I don't think that anyone would want to employ me. But yeah, you can bring me my work, thanks. Anyway, I'll be getting out soon, so it's okay. Or, I better be getting out soon. I'll leave anyway, if they don't let me leave. They should know better than to lock me up here, when they have leant from expirences in the past, that they can't pin my down. I have to be on the move, I always have to be doing something. But yeah, so how's the horse-riding cowboy thing going on?" He asked, laughing.

"Good," Jude smiled. "Yeah, it's... um, good. I'm trying to teach myself this new thing- y'all should come down and see some time, I've been showing Macy stuff too. She's really good." Jude enjoyed riding with Macy. Even if she wasn't so keen on the actual riding part, it was real nice to have someone with a bit of experience to ride with. And he liked showing her tricks and teaching them. It was nice to be able to do that for fun, rather than for money. "I can give you a Stetson," Jude smirked.

"Aw, no, it's fine. Well hey, you give me that, I can give you something from ole' New York. Like, eh, oh, some chewed gum. There's lots of it there. And...a knicks shirt. Aw, I don't know." He said, laughing. "Nah, it's fine." He said, ruffling up his hair, again. He sighed and looked around the room, for about the millionth time. Nothing had changed in the last five minutes, but he liked to keep an eye on everything, incase something did change. He moaned and rubbed the back of his neck as he tilted it back. "Do you think it'll snow sometime?" He asked. He knew it was quite random, but he wasn't sure what to asked. "It snowed before Christmas, but I'm sure it might snow sometime soon." Macy does like the snow, she says that it's 'her time of year', with the frost and ice. He swallowed this thought to the back on his head, and turned back to Jude. "Though the weather is probably going to get better, soon."

"It's quite snowy at the moment, actually," Jude said, "but yes, you're right, it is warming up again. An ice hockey tournament is coming up; though odds are the Warriors are gonna win." He smiled. "I can't wait for it to melt, actually. I don't like the snow." He didn't like cold weather in general, really. He had too many memories as a kid of wondering around in the freezing winds and trying to beg for money.

"Oh, yeah, the hockey match. I wonder if I'll be out for that. I'm sure I will, though. I remember before Christmas, Macy was always complaining that she was being made to play, and she can't play any sports to save her life. In her words, not mine. But I guess she has an adventage with ice, and whatever. Are you playing? I was asked, but I just said no. Hey, like to drugs!" He said, bursting out laughing. He was always easily amused by stupid things, that everyone else didn't find funny.

Jude laughed, a little bemused. "And to alcohol. And all that other stuff society has labeled, 'bad'. But, yeah, ice hockey? I did go in for it- I thought it could be fun." "Mr Dorrian?" Goddammit... Mustering up his most charming smile, Jude turned to face Nurse Gornray; who didn't look in the slightest bit amused. "Yes, ma'am?" "Mr Ritzski has been under a lot of stress recently, as you know all to well," she said, her eyes narrowing, "I think visiting hours are over now- come on, I've let you stay long enough." Jude's smile slipped slightly. "Couldn't I just stay a few more minutes?" "I'm sorry, Mr Dorrian, did I not make myself clear?" Nurse Gornray said, taking a step forward. "This is not negotiable."

"Aw, come on Dorris, let him stay." Steve said, waving his arms about slightly. The nurse turned around to him and gave him a look that made him both shiver and laugh, it was so scary. "Mr Ritzski, my name is not Dorris, and even if it was, you are not allowed to call any teacher by their first name. Are we clear?" She said, her voice coated with vemon. He loved how much she hated him, and that made him want to wind her up all the more. "You're not even a teacher." He said under his breath, and then laughed. She glared at him again, and turned back to Jude. "Mr Dorrian, you must leave immediatly." She said, turning her icy stare to him. Steve felt bad, making the nurse turn her anger that was meant to be for him to Jude. "Aw, shucks, I'll be out tomorrow anyway. I'll see you at breakfast, I swear." He said to Jude, trying to use it almost to reasure himself. He smiled and waved him off, and then flopped himself back onto his pillow, not wanting to say anymore to anyone for the rest of the night.
