Will lay on the bed, still fast asleep in her own dream world. She was talking to her parents, just like she had when she died for a brief moment. The sun was blazing and they were having a pic nic in their front garden. Will was lying on her front and eating her melon and making a big mess. "Will," her mum spoke, "Honey, napkin?" "No thanks you mama," she was about five or six at this time. "Ok, but don't wipe your mouth on your sleeve," her mum put the napkin down and smiled at her husband. "The two most wonderful girls in the world," David laughed as Will started to attack him. "Daddy, push me please?" Will called to him as she sat on the swing. "Ok, I'm coming," he got up and walked over to her, "Ready?" "Yep," Will laughed happily and she started to get higher and higher, "Daddy, daddy, look I'm flying!" "You sure are," her dad chuckeled. Emma came over to them and pecked her husband on the lips, "We've raised a perfect daughter, haven't we?" "We sure have, hon, we sure have," David replied and pulled his wife closer to him with his laft arm. "Ew, daddy stop that, that's digusting," Will shouted from up in the tree. "What, I'm kissing your mother!" David cried. "I know and it's digusting!" Will called down again.
Her eyes fluttered open, everything was fuzzy and dark. "Am I still in the hospital wing?" she groaned. "Yes, Will you are, now lie back and rest," Nurse Gornray ordered her and walked away. Will heard her stop halfway down the wing and heard her talking to somebody. She walked on and then Will heard someone coming up to her end.

"Mr Trove!" Jack froze to attention at the doors of the Hospital Wing. Turning sheepishly, he paled in the steely glare of Nurse Gornray. "Um, hey, Nurse Gornra-" "What are you doing here?" "Er..." Honestly? Looking for Olivia. However, he wasn't stupid enough to say that. Yesterday, when he'd come and found Olivia on one of the shifts, he'd very nearly got his balls bashed in. No, seriously! "Looking for Miss Skye?" her eyes narrowed. "No," Jack laughed awkwardly. "No, no! Nurse Gornray- no- actually, I've come here to visit Will. Is she awake?" Something in Nurse Gornray's expression softened. "Yes, Mr Trove- she's just down there. Just woke up from a sleep, actually; and she may still be a little off. We've been keeping her under sedation." "Okay, cool," Jack nodded to the nurse, and moved down the Ward, finally stopping at Will's bed. It was scary how pale she still looked; how striking the clash of her fiery red hair against her snow white forehead was. Jack cleared his throat, catching her attention, and when she looked at him, he smiled. "Hi, Will."

"Hi, Will." his voice deep. "Hi Jack," he was shrouded in black but she knew that was the effect of something in her or the light. But she would recognise his voice anywhere. She tried to sit up but she felt to heavy and sore. "I would sit up but I can't," Will turned away with embarassment, "So did you come down to see me or Olivia?" She knew the answer already, she just wanted to see what he said.

"Oh," his cheeks coloured slightly, "bit of both." He pulled up a white, rickety sounding chair, and sat down on it. It creaked ominously under his weight, and he shifted nervously. All this rugby bulk will be the death of him, one of these days. "How are you, anyway?" You know, besides for the whole being stabbed thing...

"Sore, uncomfortable, tired and a bit delusional...maybe it's just the drugs," Will smiled. "How many lights are on around my bed if any?" Will asked. She looked around her, she could see lights from the corner of her eyes but everything she looked at that was straight ahead of her was covered by a black dot. She laughed a bit then she tried to sit up again and only managed to pull herself up a tiny bit with a lot of pain.

"Just the fluorescent lights on the ceiling," Jack said softly, glancing up, and then back at Will. He really did wish Olivia was here now- not only for the obvious reasons- but because she'd know what to say to Will, about her drugs and stuff. He guessed the Head of the Carers wasn't even getting told how they were treating her- which seemed unfair, really. But this was the Hospital Wing. And since when have doctors ever really explained properly what they're doing to their patients? You know, without all the medical jargin. But Jack was d**ned sure he didn't know what 'cardiac arrest' was!

"Figures," Will sighed. She leaned back against her pillow and closed her eyes again. "Who found me?" Will finally asked.

Jack jumped. Wow. She was really being kept in the dark. "Me," he said gruffly. "Um... out in the forest, I found you on my way back up to Orchid..." he trailed off, "Will... who exactly did this to you?"

Will stayed silent. Who did do this to me? Then it came flooding back, right up to when it had happened. She bolted up right. Her heart racing. "Jessen, I'm soo gonna kill him when I get my hands on him the little........." lots of lovely words fell from her mouth in that precise minute. When she stopped, her eyes still closed she turned to Jack. "I'm scared," her voice shaky and her trembling.

Jessen?! A mixture of emotions hit Jack at once, but fortunately, he didn't have to express them. Will did the job perfectly herself. "Jesse did this to you?" Jack hissed finally, as she turned towards him, frightened. "But... I don't- why?"

why? The word was never ending. It was rearing it's ugly little head again. "I wish I knew," Will concluded darkly. She lay back down and calmed herself down and her heart rate monitor seemed to calm down a bit too. "Jack...how bad was I?" Will opened her eyes again to look at Jack as best she could. She was still shaking from terror and anger.

"Bad?" Jack wasn't sure what she meant exactly. "Well, I mean... you'd been stabbed, and buried in the snow. When I found you... you'd pretty much been split open; exposing your innards and... ah... there was a lot of blood, was all." A feeble explanation. But it was hard to explain.

"Oh god, that must've been horrible, and you carried me all the way back here?" Jack nodded, "Thank you, you saved my life," Will wish she could hug him but she couldn't for many reasons. "So apart from me, how was your christmas? Get anything nice?" she changed the subject feeling a bit uncomfortable about it now.

There it was. He was now seen as a hero. Again. "iPod," he smiled. "Needed a new one too- 60Gb! Not bad, eh?" He sighed. "And money. Plenty of it. New rugby ball too, but I left it at home. What about you?" Well, he wasn't about to go into the messy details of it all...

"Me, well I got a new scarf, hat and gloves all matching. Money, clothes, cds, and a stab to the stomach," Will rhymed them all of by one. "You never know hoe valuable your life is utnil you nearly lose it," Will furrowed her brow and thought of her parentals. "Well all in all, I would rather say this has been the most eventful christmas I've ever had," Will smirked and started to laugh.
