Name: Kira Rachel Norris [Black Sheep of the North]

Physical Description: Kira is small and and sprite-like, which popping blue eyes and a thin face. Her hair is long and white blond; stretching down her back and curling a little. She is often described as light and featherlike.
Clothing Description: Kira often goes barefoot, wearing an odd combination of cardigans and jeans. She also has a strange collection of earrings and necklaces. She doesn't much care about her clothes, and what she wears because she doesn't like to waste time on worrying about her appearance.
Personality: Kira has a certain dreamy quality about her, which tends to put people at ease. She is friendly, and kind and has a light voice which is very pleasent to listen to. She can be a little eccentric, but most people seem to find this rather charming. However, she also has a fierce temper which she usually has to work quite hard to repress, and is surprisingly clever, considering how she wanders about the place as though she is skipping through clouds.
History: Kira grew up in the north of Ireland, tracing her family roots (and so, her magical roots) right back to Gaelic history. Her parents were always very proud of their magic, and taught her many of their beliefs. Kira was raised with her cousin, Lee, and they were the youngest members of one big extended family, stretching to include aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins and cousins... all from the proud and noble Norris bloodline.
Growing up, Lee and Kira eagerly anticipated the day they would leave for Orchid Hill. They would lie awake into the night, speaking in hushed voices of the school and its magical lure. But as their time to leave for school drew closer, the war broke out, and arguments raged over it. Suddenly, Lee and Kira's family was bitterly split down the middle over their beliefs. Elder cousins left for battles; where brother and sister would turn on each other. Their family was as strewn with blood and bitter resentment as any war... so Kira and Lee fled to the school together, and have lived there ever since...
They just want the fighting to stop, and their family to come together again... at any cost.
Gifts: The ability to induce hypnoses using her eyes; can make shadows do her bidding and finally, water.
