Oh no, he was waking up. Steve's head was killing him, and he was feeling like he was going to throw up. He tried to remember what was happening, and he could remember being with Jude, and going into the corridor, and that was it. He had no idea where he was, or how he got there. He opened his eyes, and looked around. He was on a hospital bed, with Jude and...Will, was her name? She was Macy's friend, and he had talked to her during the formal. She seemed nice, but Steve didn't like meeting new people. He tried to pull himself up, but his arms were still weak. He rubbed his head, and wondered what colour his hair was, he couldn't feel it. "Why-why am I here?" He asked, his voice weak and broken.

That voice... it just about made the goosebumps jump up all over Jude. "God, I'm sorry, Steve," Jude said softly, and he knew he should be sorry. He knew he'd gone and done exactly what Steve didn't want. He could tell. His friend had been jumpy, and jittery, but he knew he shouldn't have brought him here. "Y'all fainted though. I had to bring you to the Hospital Wing. Y'all fainted, and there was no Carers around..." He felt his spirits sink like mud, and stepped back, letting Will get in front of him. I'm sorry, Steve...

Will had an injection clamped in her hand. "Steve, have you been taking your meds?" Will asked firmly. She wasn't prepared to give him an overdose without knowing first. She may be dumb at times but there was no way she was going to put anyone in danger by her faults. She heard that Jude was being sincere. "Jude, you can stay if you want," she stepped back a tinge and said lowly to him, "It might be better if you did,"

"Oh, don't, please don't do that.." Steve saw the needle and began to plede. His heart began pumping faster at the site of it, and he could feel his hair go deep blue. He wasn't scared of needles, he just hated getting injected. It reminded him of the Hospital in Yonkers that he had to go to, after he OD'd the first time, and also of when the people came for his mother. They all had needles. Needles filled with poison that they pump into you to get you to calm down, and go to sleep, so they can start to work on you, and do things to you, that they wouldn't do if you were awake. They wanted to control you, and they did it with needles. "Don't do it, don't do it, don't." He kept saying to her, he kept looking at Jude to stop her, but he wouldn't, Will was the person in charge, she was the one with the needle. The room kept spinning, as she talked, it kept fading black and white, and her needle filled with poison. His head rocked, as they just stood there, and he could feel his hair flash the colours of the rainbow. "I swear, if you come near me, I'll kill you." He didn't mean it, but he didn't want anything to do with it. He was weak, but he still had power to start to explode a lamp near Jude, and something that was on the table across from him. He had been in that room so many times, and he knew it so well, but he hated it. "Please, don't." He said again, looking at the poisoned needle in her hand.

"I'm not going to Steve, just please, calm down, look, I'm putting the needle down, ok?" Will spoke calmly and put the needle down on the bedside table, "Now, please answer me, have you been taking your medication?" It was no use. Steve was freaking. She turned to Jude. "Can you try and calm him down please?"

Jude watched the mounting panic and fear in Steve's eyes, and felt his own fear and panic rise with it. His heart was thudding faster and faster at the sight of the needle near Will's hand. She wasn't holding it; but she still held its threat. His eyes flickered back and forth between Will and Steve. And for a second, Jude hated her. "Can't you figure out a better way of giving it to him?" Jude demanded of Will, stepping in her way like a barrier between her and Steve. "You don't have to inject him for goodness' sake-" He got the feeling that she wasn't listening. Heads! Goddam it, they were all so stubborn. You couldn't tell Maddox how to do her job. And apparently, you couldn't tell Will either.

"Jude, I'm not going to inject him now please, move!" She said stubbornly and pushed Jude aside. "Steve, I'm not going to inject you. Have you taken your pills lately?" Will needed the answer before she did anything. "I promise, I won't hurt you, but you have to tell me if you have taken your medication!" Will told him. Her voice was stern and hard. Her face had a soft aura about it. Steve seemed to have calmed down a smidge. Maybe...

While Jude had stood infront of Steve, to almost protect him, Steve couldn't keep his eyes of that needle. He looked up at Will, still trying to catch his eye on the needle, and realised what she was asking him. "No, girl, I have not taken them. And I am not taking them. And you, or your people can not make me take them." He said, referring to the rest of the Carers, and the teachers, who always thought that they were doing the right thing, trying to help him. But he didn't need help. He wasn't a child, and he could cope on his own, and he didn't need a whole group of people chasing after him, always asking him questions, if he was feeling alright, if he had taken his meds, how he was feeling that day. They treated him as if he was crazy, and that was one thing that he wasn't. Despite what other people said. "I'm fine, seriously. I don't meds to make me normal. I don't need injections, how do I know that you're not trying to poison me?" He tried to say, calmly, but he could feel emotion starting to bubble up, making him about to explode. "Okay, so you don't need to touch me, or pump who-knows-what into my blood, I'm fine." He kept saying. He noticed that he was tapping the bed rapidly again, and wondered if he was going to stop. If they were going to stop.

"Steve, I am not trying to poison you, I'm trying to help you," Will replied softly, feeling sorry for him, "I won't force you, and I won't do it against your will but it would be easier on you if you did take them," Will kept her gaze steady. Jude hovered near by. "Steve, what is the matter?" Will tried a new tactic which she knew would fail miserably but she felt she needed to ask.

"What's the matter? The matter is that I'm sick of people pumping drugs into my blood, I'm sick of people treating me like I'm a child, I'm sick of people always trying to help me, to make sure I've taken my medication, trying to keep me a model student, to keep me in line with the rest of the world, so I'm always normal. That's the matter, girl." He said, feeling the energy that he was absorbing from his surroundings, go straight to his hands, and saw that they were beginning to glow. "So, please stop asking me all these stupid question, and let me go. I'm fine." He kept trying to calm himself down, from either electicuting one of them, or blowing up something.

"He's alright, y'all heard him," Jude said fiercely to Will. "I mean, okay, so the whole panicking thing isn't working in his favor- but he's really fine! Tell y'all what, you let me take him out now that you've checked him for concussion and stuff from the faint, and I'll stay with him all day, to make sure he's fine. Will that keep you happy?" Just say yes, Will...

"No, yes, no, I don't know," she looked at Steve whose hands were glowing. "And I would appreciate it if you would stop talking to me like that, he can get away with it, you can't!" Will snapped. I don't know what to do here... then she made up her mind. "I'm sorry, but no and that's my final answer. Don't even try to argue with me Jude, I won't budge. Steve, blow up as many things as you please but you are not to leave and I am not treating you like a child," Will spoke firmly and slightly aggitated even though you couldn't hear it in her voice. Jude glared at her. "I don't care what you're going to say to me Jude if anything, I've made up my mind," Will turned her back to them and breathed in and out deeply.

See? Stupid, stubborn Heads... Jude was worn out glaring. "Will..." He stopped, staring at the needle. An idea struck; one that would certainly drive the point through. The glint of the metal needle was so very tempting in the sunlight... "Will, your needle is melting."

"I am not treating you like a child." Those words made Steve go speechless, which was unusual. But it wasn't a speechless that was good, like when Macy kissed him on his cheek, but a speechless that if he replied to her, he might risked doing something that he would regret. He tried to open his mouth, but no words came out, his mind was screaming louder and louder, and he was feeling dizzy again. He didn't know if it was from anger, or from his unmedicated mind, but he was going to throw up. Jude kept trying to fight for him, which Steve would have appreciated, if he wasn't going to be sick. He had no idea what everyone else was doing, he leaned over the seide of the bed, and vomited over the floor. His hair was going a horrible yellow and blue colour, and as he finally pulled himself up, but his arms gave way, making him collapse on the bed. He was feeling very sick again, but not throwing up sick. It was fainting sick. He could feel sweat run down his face, and he was feeling weak again. He looked through blurred vision, and noticed that the needle was melted. Something exploded near by him, but he was feeling too sick to notice. "Sorry..'bout the sick.." He said, his vision swimming, mixing up the reality around him, and his imagination that was taking contol of his mind.

Will looked at the needle then the cvomit then Steve. Then she turned to Jude. "See what I mean? This is why we have to keep an eye on him and make sure he taked his medication!" Will growled. The she jumped as something near by her exploded. The glass full of water and nearly half of the beside cupboard was gone. "You better fix that needle or go get me a new one before something really serious happens to him Jude!" she walked over to Steve, "Steve? Steve can you hear me?"
