Oxygen

[Will Wright]

Will peeped at him.
"You know we've got three full ones int he store don't you?"

[Josh Cole]

"Oh, I know," he replied, watching the oxygen turn into swirly liquid through the little window, due to the pressure in the tank. "Nurse Gornray wants more in storage, just in case. Can't say I blame her, after what happened during the last battle."

[Will Wright]

"No, neither can I," Will shuddered at the thought of another one like it, "I hope there won't be one quite as bad or worse than that again!"

[Josh Cole]

It would have been totally heartless to say what he was thinking, so he just kept his mouth firmly shut.
Of course there would be worse battles than that. Of course they'd be just as bad. Maybe this time a Head wouldn't get injured, but people would still die.
He breathed into the oxygen mask again.

[Will Wright]

"I think it's nearly full at any rate," Will said, still mildly interested in what he was doing, "So, where do you come from?"

[Josh Cole]

He took another breath of air. "Canada."
Please don't say anything about being American...
"You?"

[Will Wright]

"Germany," Will replied, "I hate the way people get the Canadians and Americans mixed up all the time, it bugs me. Hello, two different countries!"

[Josh Cole]

You read my mind...
Wondering vaguely if Will was a telepath, Josh replied, "Yeah, tell me about it. I hate it. Unlike most Americans, I have a brain.... okay, totally didn't mean that, but whatever."

[Will Wright]

"Hey, if I have anything to say is that Americans need to learn history about other countries!" Will mused.

[Josh Cole]

Josh frowned, noting that the tank was full, closing the cap tightly and padlocking it, before connecting to mask and tube to another tank. "How so?"

[Will Wright]

"Well I mean, I've talked to some over the net and they say things like, I never knew Ireland had roads or elctrcity, did you? I mean come on who doesn't know that and they think leprechauns are real too and most of them don't know that Northern Ireland existed, like Ireland was just on big Island!"

[Josh Cole]

Josh laughed. "Why'd you care about Ireland, anyway? Besides, the electricity thing is not really history. That's just people being dumb. And you're forgetting that Ireland is really far away from America, and it doesn't affect them much. Like, do you know when each and every state was founded? Probably not, because it doesn't affect you."
Wow, what a speech.

Will opened her mouth to answer him then closed it again realising that she had absoulutley no idea when most of them were founded.
