Madeleine frowned suddenly. "Well, he used to... usually it would have been Shaun, my brother, more than him. Dad let me have free rein - within reason. It was my scary, six foot three brother with the huge muscles that was really overprotective - of course, Dad would threaten a fair bit if he caught a guy actually touching me, be it with his lips or his hands - and his mucles aren't ... but since Shaun died, he's been even more protective than usual. I guess I can understand it. But it is really annoying that he expects every guy that comes near me to be scum. I know I've dated a few... er, bad boys, but sometimes he's ridiculous."

Madeleine forced herself not to turn scarlet. Why was life making her blush so much?
"Well, do you mean who were they - because you wouldn't know them - or why they were bad?" she asked. "And of course I've dated bad boys - I'm not tough for nothing," she added, with a laugh. "It gets tiring, though. And I really needed and wanted something a lot more complex..."
Which she got, and a warm feeling spread through her at that.

"Just some guys from where I used to live," Madeleine shrugged. "I used to be really attracted to danger... like a lot of Warriors. Then you realise what exactly danger means when it comes to guys... it's not stuff I'm proud of."

"I suppose you're right, anyway...wanna go for a walk?" Will needed a new surrounding. She had been here since the last battle ended. If it wasn't here it was in the dorm and vice versa.
