Will was still out. Professor Hoodham sat by her bed thinking what to do.
"We have to keep them safe," he thought out loud to himself. He stood up and paced around her bed. The doors burst open and her godparents rushed up to him.
"What happened to her?" Jenny asked.
"Why did this happen to her?" George questioned.
"Please, I do not know why it happened but I sure will find out. Now if you please would follow Madam Gornray and she will take you to my office, thank you!" Professor Hoodham sat back down in the chair beside Will's bed. "What are we going to do with all of you?" he sighed and put his chin in his hand and started to think of how to protect them all. Will stirred. He looked up and saw that she was starting to wake up. She didn't open her eyes but she was awake.
"Where am I?" she said dazed.
"You are in the hospital wing. Try to not to speak or move, save your energy," Professor Hoodham patted her hand.
"Who is that?" she asked not recognizing the voice.
"Who is who? Oh you mean me. I am Professor Major William Hoodham, headmaster of Orchid Hill Academy for the Gifted. You are Will Alyssa Wright," he explained.
"Oh," she was confused altogether now.
"Will what's the last thing you remember?"
"The start of term ball,"
"That was three weeks ago,"
"Really? Great," Will opened her eyes. Everything was a blur. She couldn't make anything out at all. "How long have I been in here for?"
"Four or five days now, I believe,"
"What about Macy?"
"Ah, Miss Deltine is still being held hostage," he answered her sadly. There was an eerie silence between them in which she had time to realise that her arm and stomach had been bandaged up.
"Erm, Professor? Why do I bandages around my arm and stomach?"
Prof. Hoodham looked up at her with sorry eyes, "You were shot, twice while saving Mr. Anton Gordon,"
"Oh, well that's nice to know." silence once more. "Headmaster, do you have any idea how we're going to get Macy back?"
"I have my idea's which I'm not obliged to share with you at this particular moment Will,"
"Ok, then do you know who shot me?"
"No, but it was for your blood,"
"My blood, why my blood?"
"It's always got to be blood," Professor Hoodham winked.
What a strange answer. Why does it always have to be blood? Is that why they took Macy. For her blood?
"Professor, is that why the took Macy? For her blood too?"
"No, I don not think they took Miss Deltine for her blood Will."
"Then why?"
"I do not know," Professor Hoodham stood up and walked over to the window on the other side of Will's bed. "Now, I want to ask you something Will," she nodded in reply, "Good, now when you had that premonition before you got shot did you see who it was doing the shooting?"
"No sir, I didn't see their face, they had balaclava's on." she answered smartly.
"Very well, I shall leave you now. Try to get some rest and don't think of your premonitions Will,"
