Right now, Kira was the only one in the dorm. She was tired. Today... was Sunday. Easter Sunday, to be exact, and Kira was already sick of looking at chocolate. She'd eaten about half an egg, felt sick, and chucked the lot out. It was late in the afternoon; and today, for a change, the sun had decided to shine. Lazily, the golden rays shone through the pulled blinds; dappling yellow paint across her duvet. Kira was curled up on it, eyes closed. Completely relaxed. And thinking, as was becoming a greater and greater habit of hers recently, of Arihant. A tentative friendship was forming with between the two of them. Tentative, to be sure, but now, Kira could finally be certain there was something real there. Ever since that night... things had been... less awkward. Of course, now, certain things could not be helped. Every time she glanced at his gloved hands, she felt a renewed wave of anguish; and these waves kept getting stronger, pulling and pulling at her; swirling around her... Sometimes, she wondered if they'd eventually pull her out to drown... Would it be so bad to drown...? Clack. Clack. The knock at the door caused Kira to spring to her feet in shock. "Yes?!" she said, a little breathlessly. "I mean, come in."

After a very busy day, Will decided to come pack her bags at last. She had done some that morning but not a lot and she really needed to get it done. So, she hadn't quite decided what to say to them as of yet but she needed to think and fast. Dorm 16. Will was about to go on in but decided to knock first. She didn't want to interrupt her fellow heads if they were doing something important. There was a thud as someone scrambeled to their feet. "Yes?!" Kira answered, a little breathlessly. "I mean, come in." Will smiled as she enetered. "Hi Kira," she crossed the room and started packing again, "Expecting someone?" She raised her eyebrow as she asked this though Kira couldn't see her.

Oh. It was just Will. "No..." Kira said softly, climbing back onto her bed and tucking her legs underneath her. "No, sorry, I was just... tired, I suppose. I came in here for a bit of quiet." She watched Will for a couple of seconds, a small frown creasing her forehead. "Will, what are you doing?"

"Packing," a one worded answer...pathetic. "I'm packing, I'm going home tonight," Will stared over at her roomate. She wondered if she could talk to Kira about this or not...after all Kira had known him so much longer than she had. She was the one who had introduced Will to him and Mike and Ellie and...you get the picture. She stuffed her clothes into one side and her Ipod in the other and she crammed a lot fo junk which she didn't need anylonger so she could dump it all home. What the hell am I going to tell them? How am I going to go about explainging this? Panic was starting to settle in. Will threw another pair of shoes in and zipped the bag and started on her back pack.

... what? "Packing?" Kira echoed, leaning forward slightly. Packing? What did she mean exactly by... packing? Oh. Wait. Her eyes fell on the discarded Easter Egg box she had neglected to toss in the rubbish next to the chocolate. After all, the box was sort of... Pretty. And pretty things didn't deserve to get thrown out. "Easter holidays?" she said easily, leaning back again.

Will sighed, "Unfortunately," She was not looking forward to this one single bit and she wouldn't. There was on the other hand, something she was dying to do and that was to revisit her old house...well techincally it was a manor but still. She threw everything to the bottom of her bed and jumped onto it. "Kira..." how would she go about asking this. She bit her bottom lip. There had to be a way...there had to be. "What's Arihant like?" she asked still trying to think of a way to make the question easier. Trying to think of a good way to bring it up. Trying... And failing...

What? Kira very nearly leapt to her feet again, the question shocked her so much, but she managed to suppress the urge. Smiling vaguely at Will, she gulped. "He's a nice guy. You should get to know him. He doesn't have that many friends here." He didn't seem to want them, really...

Will was anything but stupid. "I think I might, if I can get to talk to him. Everytime I try, he seems distracted or something," Will thought to herself. Ok. Time to bite this thing in the butt. "That wasn't the question I was actually going to ask you," she bit her lip again and dug her fingernails into her skin. She felt hot but didn't she always? "You know Jack?" ok yes, there we go. Maybe it was obvious to her already now that she mentioned his name. God she hoped so. And at the same time she didn't. Where to start properly? Where? Why? Why was he so d**n blind about her? It really did annoy her a hell of a lot. She stared at Kira for one second and then focused her attention on Kira's bat. Waiting on her answer.

... "Yes," Kira said slowly. "I know Jack." Her eyes followed Will's gaze and suddenly, she saw a rare little visitor climbing out of the dark shadows of the bed, blinking in the sunlight- Frederick. "What're you doing?" Kira murmured softly, reaching out her hands and taking the delicate creature carefully in them.

Will really was starting to regret this. "WellIlikehim!" she said really fast. Stop. Calm down and repeat. She sighed and looked at Kira, "I like him," Oh no. Crap!

"I like him too," Kira said vaguely, her finger gently prising open the bat's wing. It stretched, its black skin moving slightly, and Kira's finger began to trace the delicate bone structure of the creature. It was... complex, to say the least. She bet it would be hard to draw, if she could draw, that was. She couldn't. It wasn't good. "He's a nice guy," she continued, softly.

Ok...she missed the point. "Not the way I do," she spoke so quietly that she was sure Kira hadn't heard her. How long did she have left now? Three hours and 35 minutes. She looked over at Kira who was stroking her bat. She sighed heavily and threw herself back on the bed, gazing at the ceiling.

Frederick moved slightly, and with a tiny squeak, he flapped his wings, and eased himself out of Kira's grip. He fluttered forward slightly, then, tipping downwards, he whisked back under the bed, to the comfort of the shadows. Kira looked over at Will. "What are you talking about?" "Not the way I do..." Oh, no. Faces fell before her; one after the other. Anton Gordon, dead. Lee Norris, engaged. Jessen... attempted murder. At least, those were the ones she knew about. Will... Will confused her, in a way, because Kira could never be like that, never like so many different guys. She barely trusted herself enough to like one. Yet, here Will was, already, with her eyes fixed on someone else. Why was that? Why did she keep... looking, seeing, wanting? Everything had been fine with Anton... but then... it mustn't have been- otherwise, why would she have kissed Lee? But then Anton died. That's how you get screwed up, see, if you kiss someone elses' boyfriend and then your one dies. But things would've been alright, maybe... if... if... things had gone well with Jessen. Except Jessen stabbed her. Not exactly top-notch boyfriend material. So here she was, poor Will, confused Will, and now... now she had found friendship in Jack. Now she wanted more. It was perfectly understandable, was it not? Friends could move on to something... more, couldn't they? And Jack got on really well with Will. Maybe he was different. Maybe that's why she liked him. After all, Jack was a far cry from Anton Gordon. Jack Trove was a Warrior. Jack Trove wasn't likely to get killed. But... Jack Trove was likely to break your heart. "Will, I don't think it's a good idea."

Will sat there as Kira mulled through what she had just said. What was she thinking? What was she gonna say? Would she understand? "Will, I don't think it's a good idea," Gulp, gulp, gulp.... and she was doomed. Will stared out of the window thinking to herself for about five minutes. "Yeah, you're right, besides I don't think he even knows I like him. He's oblivious to the obvious," she smiled as she said the last part. All the hints she had left Jack and gestures she had made...well it was true. Oblivious to the obvious. That was Jack in Will's eyes. Well a girl could dream...right? "I don't know if I want to go home...I'm kind of...not regretting but...." Will was stuck for words, "I dunno, anxious? No..." Yep, stuck for words. "The only good thing to me is that I actually get to go visit my old home...which will or does belong to me now," she smiled at the thought.

So she wasn't going to continue talking about it, then. Kira raised an eyebrow. Swift change of topic, huh? And somehow, she doubted Will had listened to her. Will had the tendancy to be... more than a little stubborn about things. "Well, it'll be good for you to see your godparents again," Kira said carefully.
