Natalia walked out on the hospital wing and down through the darkened corridors. She had forced Macy to step down and let her get out and get ready for their 'excursion' down into Cardsdale. It was just after seven o'clock at night and the whole school where down in the Dining Hall having dinner. They had snuck out of the hospital wing so Natalia could proceed in doing Macy justice.
"Just go round this corner- quietly!" Macy said from inside her head. Being able to change into another person took a lot of power, and wasn't something that a person their age would be able to do if they were born with their gifts. But Macy obtained her powers from a dying man, and who ever he was, he as very powerful indeed.
Natalia followed her sisters directions and was coming close to her dorm when they heard someone coming the opposite way. Before Natalia could hide a ginger girl came out, caring some papers. They stared at each other in silence before the girl broke it.
"Excuse me, who are you?" The said, looking Natalia up and down.
"Oh no! That's Jessica Hearte, a stuck-up who hates be for becoming head of the Academics.." Macy informed her sister.
Natalia smiled and said, "You can call me Nat. And you are..?" She asked, even though she knew.
"Jessica. What are you doing here?"
"I was visiting my friend, and she asked me to get some things for her. And what are you doing here?"
Jessica went pale. "I'm- I'm just going back to my room so I can get some papers to revise from. The exams are soon, you know."
"Oh, I know." She said with fake excitement. "So, Miss Hearte, do you know Macy Deltine?"
"Yes, she's in my Transformation class. I'm actually taking over her place while she's not well, as head of Academics."
"What?! What?! No-one told me that! How- how could she?!" Macy was getting very angry.
Natalia didn't let Macy's anger affect how body language.
"Oh, really? I didn't know. I'm actually visiting her, and you know what? She seems so much better, and will be taking back the post as head very soon. Thank-you for you concern." She smiled.
Jessica didn't seem to now what to say to this. "Um..good, I'm glad to hear that. Do you go to this school?"
"Oh, no, I got kicked out." Her smile widened.
Jessica seemed even more dumbstruck at this. "Oh..well..um..what's..what's you name again?"
"Natalia."
"No, your full name..sorry..."
"Deltine." She let the words slip from her lips and aimed them right at the ginger girl in front of her.
It was a while before she found words to respond to this. "You- you're related to her?" She croaked.
"Yes..sisters.." She smiled again.
"I..I didn't know she had any siblings."
"Oh, really? Well, we are very close. It's almost like she's in me." She gave a high giggle that echoed though the corridors. "And if you excuse me, as I said, I have to get some things for my sister." She walked away from the ginger girl, still totally confused at what had just happened.
Finally Macy had navigated her sister to her dorm and entered. It was so strange, Macy hadn't been back since leaving for the dance that night, so many weeks ago. It hadn't change much, she say her room-mates empty beds and spotted hers in the corner. It had been made up, but everything else was the same. Natalia also realised that it was Macy's bed and went over and pulled out a large trunk from under it.
"Now, I'm sure you brought my things.."she said, looking though piles of books, clothes, jewelry, papers and other things she had crammed in there.
"What things? I didn't bring anything belonging to you.." Macy said, feeling slightly confused.
Natalia didn't reply, but continued to look though her her trunk. Finally, she came out holding a Polaroid camera and a larch trench coat. "Oh did bring them!" She said, sliding the coat over her body and hanging the camera around her neck.
"What?! I didn't bring those! Who put them there?! Did you? Because I didn't bring those!"
"Oh shut-up" Natalia told the voice in her head. "Now..let's go.."
