It wasn't the same as Amy's kiss but it was similar, so was her touch, her scent, the taste of her lips and tongue. Similar. But not the same. And why would it be, anyway? Tamika was different from Amy. She was a descenced and he was goddamñ certain of this from what he'd been researching but it still didn't feel right to hiim. But it did. It was confusing. Not just the whole emotional side of it but also the logical side of it. The right's and the wrong's. And it was just confusing all around. Even (he betted) for her. "Do you need to breathe if you're in ghost form?"
Dimitri almost burst out laughing at this, "No. Why would I, it means I'm dead and that means all my organ's are dead too so I have no need for air in order to survive." there was also another weird thing which brought the ghost side into the living side of him and he was debating if he should tell her or not. Eventually he decided against it. "Tamika...I really think you should try and get some sleep. It's not good for you to stay awake all night, especially in the cold. You'd think being a Carer you would know all the health hazards of this." he remarked sarcastically.

If ever there was a time for Tamika to enter childish tantrum mode, now seemed pretty good for her. Really, when you're tired and just cheated on the boyfriend you've been crying over for days the timing's perfect. "Don't laugh you moron, I don't know how you work!" She sulked and furrowed her brows angrily for all of one minute before she felt bad and let a small smile grace her features. "If you were so inclined to want to, could you be passed over?" Mentally, she started cackling to herself. 'Well, if there was any way to sound like you want rid of your friend, that was probably it. Good job, Tam!' She was sure Dimitri wouldn't take it that way. Well, she hoped he wouldn't anyway.
Tamika gave a snorted laugh and shook her head. "You would think I would know that, wouldn't you? You'd think being a Carer I wouldn't smoke, drink or have a caffeine addiction either. Sometimes logic just doesn't have a place in life." And she didn't want to go into the whole 'd**nit I'm not going to sleep' thing. Despite all of his heartache over Amy, Tamika didn't think Dimitri would understand where she was coming from about Jet. She got up from sitting with Dimitri and walked a couple of feet away from him. She pulled a packet of cigarettes from her pocket and lit a new one. "Do you mind?" She asked motioning to the cigarette. Tamika holding it between her teeth though so the sentence came out a little muffled.

Dimitri looked at her as if she had two heads. "Why would I mind, unlike you, it can't do me any harm." He leant further back into the seat and closed his eyes and mental iamges of Amy crossed his mind. Them kissing, her working so hard, reading, singing, all of the jazz. "Tamika. How often do you sing?" he asked out of complete randomness, well no. It was randomness at all. Just memories brought the question to the front of his mind. He wondered if Tamika sang like Amy did.
"Oh and to your previous question, no. I can got into the spirit realm but I'll never fully cross over. I'll never die. Never can. I've tried all possibilities..and none work. Hurt like bítch, but never die." he finished in a morbid yet light-ish tone. He glanced at her before looking up to gaze at the stars while she processed his explanation and formed answers to his questions.

Tamika smirked at his remark about smoking harm, "Aha, touche..." She had been pretty p!ssed off when Dimitri had first come and bothered her on the roof, but she was glad now. He was cheering her up rightly. She inhaled from her cigarette and threw her head back to blow rings of smoke into the air. It had been a while since she had done the little smoke trick, so it was nice to know she still had the ability. Her head jerked back to normal when Dimitri asked her a question. "Sing?" Tamika repeated. Well, it had been a while. "Not that often these days," she sighed, "Always something else to do or I just don't have the spirit for it..." In her head, she was cackling a little at the bad joke. 'Saying something about a spirit with Dee, oh you should go into comedy!' The sensible part of her mind muttered sarcastically to the slightly crazy side.
As he answered her question, Tamika had began to wander about the area of the roof they were. When he finished though, she turned her attention to him and stared at him in horror. "You... tried?" She asked quietly, before going off on a small rant. "Dimitri Curtis Hashfield! Why would you even try that? You're a major development in the spirit world and you'd just try and off yourself?! Not even just that - you're one of the few nicer people in the world! For the love of Christ, if you had of passed on the world would hella suck! You stupid, beautiful man." The last sentence of her rant was muttered more to herself in an angry tone as she turned to face out over the school grounds and smoke her cigarette again. Of course she was a major hypocrite for her rant, more than once she had tried to rob herself of life. Something about the idea of Dimitri not being around just got to her.

Dimitri had no idea how to reply to her. How was any man supposed to reply to that statement? Especially when you had secret feelings for that person. Or not so secret but wrong and impossible. Maybe the fatigue was getting to her and making her say these weird, wrong and beautiful words. He stared at her and felt the urge to just grab her and kiss her. And keep kissing her not willing to let that kiss break apart. Kiss her until she felt dizzy and weak. He could pciture it. But did he just have to picture it? Could the picture not come to life? Put theory into practice. he smiled to himself and got up and walked over behind her. He put his hands on the wall on either side of her, barring her from escaping and then slowly leant down to whisper in her ear. "Tamika...how much do you like me?"

Tamika stared quietly off into the darkness in the moment where neither of them spoke. There were lights of a couple of planes passing each other that attracted her attention. She wished she could be one the outgoing plane, it would be nice to have a little holiday. Preferably one without dying owls and spontaneous proposals. She wanted to go somewhere warm; she'd never been to a place constantly hot. Russia, Scotland and mainland Europe were the height of her travels, and really it was just like travelling from a freezer to a fridge to a cool cupboard that food packaging always recommends for storage.
She watched Dimitri as he approached her, not really thinking anything of it, but then both eyebrows raised in surprise when he placed his hands on both sides of her. Tamika went weak at the knees and got goosebumps when he whispered a question that caused her quite some trouble. "I..." She began, but trailed off quickly when she realised that she didn't actually have an answer to the question. Tamika raised her hand to press her fingers on Dimitri's cheek, simultaneously moving his head from beside her ear so she could look at him.
She stared into his eyes for a couple of minutes before closing the gap between them. She softly pushed her lips against his while she brushed his cheek with her thumb. Tamika lost herself in the moment, forgetting where she was and then... "No!" She shouted, a little louder than she intended, and pulled her lips from Dimitri's. "I like you, a lot more than I should for the little I've known you but... I can't Dimitri, I have a boyfriend." 'How could I have been so stupid?!' Tamika scolded in herself head. She was crazy about Jet, not even half an hour ago she had been feeling hopelessly empty and heartbroken because he was leaving, and now here she was kissing her best friend.

Dimitri didn't know what to feel. He felt elated, yet wrong. She shouldn't like him. It wasn't..right. He shouldn't like her. Did he like her? Or was it one of those fling things? He didn't know. Not yet. "I like you, a lot more than I should for the little I've known you but... I can't Dimitri, I have a boyfriend." And somewhere inside him, he felt exploding with joy and then drowning in sorrow when she carried on that sentence. But it was ok. He understood. "It's a good thing I'm not asking anything of you then, isn't it?" he smiled and then went to the door that led to the stairs. As he opened it a thought occurred to him, "Oh, and Tamika?" he twisted round so he could look at her, "That kiss. It never happened." and he started down the stairwell.

Well, this hadn't gone as well as Tamika had quite wanted. Her eyes filled up as Dimitri turned to leave. "Oh and Tamika - that kiss never happened." Well that just plain hurt. She hesitated for a few seconds then turned into the stairs that led down to the school hallway. "Dimitri!" She called after him. He wasn't far ahead of her. Tamika jogged so she could catch up with Dimitri and put a hand on his shoulder. "Dee, I don't want to part ways like this. My babushka always told me never to part on a bad note."
It was going to make Tamika feel every bit the sl*t she actually was, but she took a couple of steps forward so she was facing Dimitri instead of looking at the back of his head and leant in to kiss him. It was stupid to do so in the hallway, where anyone could be walking around. Anyone including - 'Don't think that way, he's the one leaving you. You've been abandoned too much,' the b*tch in her mind tried to reason. It had a point; she knew for a fact that relationships with any sort of distance didn't work, Pavel, Twitch, they were both proof of that. Tamika pulled back after a few seconds.
"Dee, I know I shouldn't be feeling like this about you, but I do. It's like you're the one constant now, and as stupid as it sounds, it feels like that's the way it always has been, and... Well, I don't know why I just didn't kiss you again like it was going out of fashion on the roof..." She trailed off from the rambling speech she had started and kissed him again, trying to ignore the feeling in her gut of this being right in her life.

Ok, this was bad. Dimitri felt dirty. And he also felt overjoyed. They really shouldn't have been doing this. Not while Jet was still at the school anyway. It was wrong. And if somebody saw them...they were screwed. He knew how word spread through Orchid. It was like a tsunami. You see it coming, you try to run as fast as you can as far as you can but a little to late and bam! You're surrounded by water a debris. And after many weeks and months of cleaning and clearing and rescuing what dignity and self respect you could it stuck to you forever after. Jack and Olivia were a perfect example of it.
And as Tamika kissed him he couldn't help but to kiss her back. In fact, Tamika had awoken a fire that had been smouldering for a very long time that it had nearly been extinguished altogether. There was so much of Amy in her. So much that resembled and took after her.Dimitri turned her around and pushed her up against the wall and kissed her more passionately.
He felt so alive. There was a raging fire in him and he couldn't stop. His breathing became faster and more loudly. She even kissed like Amy for godsake! But then it was ruined when Jethro Foster appeared in his head. He remembered that day when Jet had found Tammy and he held her close, had lifted her tear stained face and kissed her eyes- "No." Dimitri pulled away and took a step back, "No. I can't. We can't. It's not fair on him Tamika. Nor is it fair on us. It's wrong and it's dishonest."

It caught Tamika off guard when Dimitri pushed her up against the wall. She had half expected him to push her away and called her a slag. She probably would have done that if she were in his place. Actually no she wouldn't, she would have kissed back and shouted 'hiyoooo!'. That's what happened when you watched Jerry Springer at three in the morning for a week. Either way, she was happy he did it. She was happy she was kissing him right now. She was happy her heart wasn't aching anymore. It wouldn't last, Tamika knew that. And she knew that in a few hours, she would feel even worse. He sensible side didn't prevail at this time though.
And then he pulled back. She kept her eyes closed for a second after he moved away, then slowly blinked them open. He was right, of course. He never seemed to be wrong, know-it-all s.o.b. Tamika moved her hand over her face to wipe her fringe to the side, a force of nervous habit. "You're right," she replied, her voice wavering slightly. "Nothing like immorality to make things worse. Sorry, Dee." She wasn't sure if the latter sentence was a sarcastic dig, or if she was trying to lighten the situation a little. Tamika looked down at her t-shirt and fiddled with the hem of it, not wanting her eyes to meet Dimitri's again. "I guess I should go get my sh*t from the roof... Bye Dee..." With a quick smile, Tamika started up the hallway again.
