Madeleine smiled again at his teeth, before laughing gently and tossing her curls at his last sentence. "Yeah, it does come in pretty useful," she smiled. Well, her air control class did really bugger all - most of the time she was watching people do things that she could already do, and studiously ignoring Levi. She glanced around the entrance hall, and realised that they should really move from it - and time was getting closer to her 'appointment'. "Want me to show you up to the common room?" she asked.

Dylan smiled broader as she smiled back at him he always like it when people smiled at him. It made him feel happy and almost normal. He hadn't felt normal since he'd discovered his powers almost a year ago. It was as close as it got when someone smiled at him. He watched her glance around and then listened to her question. "Sure." he answered, beginning to walk towards the exit.

Madeleine laughed as Dylan moved towards the exit, and reached out and caught his arm. "Wrong way," she said, steering him towards the side door. "You go this way." She quite liked Dylan already. After doing her mental assessment thing and making her educated guess towards his character, she'd decided that Dylan was the type of person that she'd like. He seemed really nice, anyway. It was just a shame that his smile made her want to laugh.

Dylan was almost at the wrong door before El caught his arm and told him that he was going the wrong way. He wanted to kick himself, instead he swore softly and felt fire building in his hands with embarrassment. He concentrated as hard as he could to dissipate the heat, he had to stop in his tracks and stare at them for a few seconds. Once the heat cooled slightly Dylan continued to walk towards the correct door. He was irritated with himself, his fire power was reacting to the slightest emotion these days. It had been since he realised the truth, and realised that he didn't know anything about anything. "Thanks." he murmured to El, as she directed him towards the right direction. He hated his fire power, he wished more than anything that he could make it go away. He didn't dwell on that thought for long, quickly changing his frown into a light, carefree smile. "Do you like living here?" he asked her, to get a conversation going.

She could feel heat rising from Dylan's hands, but tactfully pretended that she hadn't noticed it. Besides, that was something that all fire controllers got at times - actually, something that everyone got at times. When she was angry - really angry, you could sometimes feel a light breeze emanating from her. "Yeah," she replied. "It's great living with your friends - though, sometimes you get a bit stir crazy. I like it, anyway. Do you think you will?"
ooc: short and bad, sorry!
