He didn't like sitting on the train now that Estella had disappeared. That left him and Magdelena, and he had about as much to say to her as she had to say to him. Out of respect for Estella- despite his resolve to be rude- he decided to keep the X-Ray Vision turned off. Without the distraction of conversation, Guy's thoughts relaxed, and his carefully constructed scenes of Orchid Hill flashed before his eyes. He'd spent his evenings for months now just staring sky-wards, meticulously planning every little detail. Every conversation. Every person. Every joke; every room; every thoroughly human experience he had yet to taste, he longed for, and plotted. It was a beautiful place. He'd seen it on the internet. It was only a silhouette; the school's detail blackened by shadow against a rising sunset. He supposed it must've been taken from somewhere out here- No Man's Land. The barren landscape was battle-scarred and dusty. Guy, when staring outwards, could see nothing for miles out to the horizon. So, this was were they fought their battles. This was were they lost their lives. The train gave a sudden jolt, and shocked by it, Guy jumped back in his seat. As he did so, he caught sight of an again-visible Estella. He half-smiled at her, but expected no response.

Estella clutched her seat as the train jolted slightly, and continue to travel onwards. She ran her fingers through her hair, and stared out the window. If she leaned over, she was able to see the outline of a town in the distance, surrounded by fields and forests. She was amazed at Guy, how much he was...obsessed with the school. This was the last thing that Estella wanted to do, and the boy across from her was looking so forward to it. But, then again, she had also witnessed part of this in her sister's brain the past few weeks, who was also excited about finally going to a proper school. Estella gazed out the window, only becoming aware, also, of the other people's thoughts in the train about the school. Some people were thinking about their dorm, others thinking about the teachers, or their friends, and this only made her feel worse. It made her feel sick. How can people actually look forward about going to a new place, meeting new people? "I can bet that you're looking forward to going to the school?" She asked, rolling her head to look at Guy, not sure if he would catch onto her hint of sarcasm in her voice.

Guy heard the sarcasm- he'd heard it enough times in his own voice to recognise that dry quality- but he chose to ignore it. "Actually, yeah, I am," Guy turned to look at her. "I think we're lucky to get the opportunity to go to a school like Orchid Hill... don't you?" She mayn't have responded yet, but the answer was a most definite no. Her sarcasm had told her as much. Perhaps he was getting better at this reading people thing... Perhaps people just weren't all that hard to read in the first place.

Estella smiled, and ran her fingers through her hair, again. "It is a nice opportunity, but I think that it is the last thing I want to do." She said, ignoring the rude comments that were being thrown mentally at her by her sister. She didn't really care about what she said about the school, Estella was not looking forward to going to a school. "We'll arriving into Cardsdale soon, students." A woman shouted down the carriage. According to her thoughts, she was a teacher at the Academy, and was going to meet another teacher in a coffee shop in the villiage. Apparently they hadn't met in a couple of months, and she was excitied about seeing the other teacher. Estella tried to follow her throughts, but wouldn't hear them once she had gotten too far away. She looked out the window, watching the clouds flow passed. "But, yes, I am not looking forward at all to going to the school. There's nothing wrong with the school," She said, laughing, "But I don't think that it is for me." She tried to explain. She picked up her bag, and clutched it nervously in her lap, feeling her breathing quicken as they came closer to the station.

Guy frowned. "Why not?" That was odd. He couldn't see how anyone could not be excited about the prospect of attending Orchid Hill. It was the sort of thing that should technically appeal to all sorts of people, as all sorts of people went there. Then... there was the war. A war which Guy could barely remember the name of, let alone remember the details of. He supposed the facts would be unavoidable at the school.

Estella sighed, trying to find a sutible answer. "Oh, I don't know. I have just been taught by our grandmother for so long, that I don't think I'd be used to going into a normal school. I think Lena would probably find it easier than I would. But I do not know, maybe I will fit in great, I just don't know. I can't really explain it." She said, wondering if her words were confusing or not. She could now see the village get closer to the train, and already some people in her carriage were putting their belongings together. All of their mental excitement was starting to make Estella's head hurt, so she closed her eyes, and rubbed her temples. "Are you okay?" She heard her sister ask, wondering why she was doing this. Estella nodded slowly, and opened her eyes again. She started to think about what Guy was thinking about, about the war. She had only heard a small bit about it, but she did not understand it, and could not even wonder why a school would be fighting. Some other people had been thinking about it aswell, but they weren't able to explain it to her through their thoughts. She must have stayed silent for some time without realsing it, as it seemed that only a few minutes later, she felt the train grind to a hault. "Are we here?" She asked, and her sister quickly answered her through her thoughts, while standing up. Everyone was starting to leave the train. Estella quickly grabbed her bag, and pulled her suitcase down from the over head locker, while her sister did the same thing. It was amazing how nervous she had now become, and she really wanted to just run away from it all. "Um, it was nice meeting you, Guy. Maybe we'll see each other in school." She almost choked on the last word. Magdelena began to pull her out of the train, and she turned around to see the last glimps of the boy that she had spent the last hour or so on the train with, and smiled good-bye, before being hoisted by her sister into the crowds of people flooding the station.
