Will finished putting the gauze on and finsihed with the wee girl. "Be sure to watch what you're doing next time," she smiled warmly at the girl and turned to put things away. It had been a long day but she was finally being relieved of hern day shift. Which she was thankful for, she hated night shifts. And now she was getting a headache. "Painkillers, where oh where are the painkillers?" she rumaged in the cupboard for some and found them. She signed a book to tell what and how many she had taken. "God I love these miraculous things," I won't be broken again, I've got to breathe, I can't keep going under.... "I love them too," she shut the door cabinet door and was about to leave when she heard her name being called by a familiar voice. She stopped dead in her tracka and made a face. On eof the people she had been hoping to avoid as much as possible. "Will?" Olivia's voice beckoned to her. She turned and trudged up to where Olivia was. "Hey Olivia, what's up?" she asked brightly.

Headache. Olivia rubbed her temple tiredly, before pushing back the long strands of scarlet that had escaped from her sleek chignon as she cleaned the open wound on the guy's face deftly with the other hand. He wasn't saying how he'd gotten that cut, but judging from the size and shape of it, and the flecks of dirt now ingrained in it (not to mention the various other bruising on his body, which was a big pointer towards Olivia's conclusion), he'd recieved a bit of a beating outside. He flinched as the stinging cleansing fluid touched the gaping hole, obviously feeling the sharp sting. Olivia dabbed at it gently with a cotton bud, well practiced at not causing any more pain than could be avoided. Compared to the sting of the liquid, this gentle touch was completely painless. "So what does the other guy look like?" The guy brushed through his dirty fair locks sheepishly. "Well..." Olivia smiled softly, before brushing her fingertips over the welt with the barest of touches. A golden glow emitted from her fingertips, which radiated to the wound and the flesh knitted itself back together. She leaned back, studying it critically, before smiling. "Okay, you're good to go." He'd left with a warm smile and an appreciative glance as Olivia sealed the cotton bud in a biohazard waste bag, before her fingers went to her temple again in that telltale way. Still, she was off duty soon, so that was good. Going to the bin, she walked past the store, where she could hear Will murmuring. "God, I love these miraculous things." Olivia grinned humourlessly, quickly conjuring up an ibruprofen and swallowed it dry, flinching at the taste. She should ask if she could go now... That could be a good idea. Olivia twisted with the escaped strands of her as she glanced in the glass, satisfied by her reflection. "Will?" She wasn't answered, but then she appeared. "Hey Olivia, what's up?" she said, brightly. Olivia smiled. "Would it be okay if I left now? There's noone here, and Paula is on her way to take over from me."

Olivia smiled. "Would it be okay if I left now? There's noone here, and Paula is on her way to take over from me." "Sure, I'm about to do the same thing anyway, I just need to sign the 'off duty' book and then go," Will shrugged lightly. They were out in the corriodr a couple of minutes later. "So how has your week been?" Will asked trying to make easy conversation. They walked around the corner and then down the stairs. Will, had only been back a few days but she was glad to be back...her time over easter had not been that great but it could've been worse.

"It's been fine," Olivia said smoothly, praying for the ibuprogen to take effect quickly. Her hand reached up to her temple again, but she quickly disguised the motion by sweeping aside a lock of hair from her forehead. "Aside from... you know, the total hecticness of life in general," she said, with a smile. "Hospital shifts, work, life... relationships. It can be a bit crazy." The whole... relationship thing was working well, actually. She and Jack were... well, more serious than they'd been before. It felt good, actually - more so than she would have thought, after the whole physicality thing had been toned down a little. Well... she did say a little. Actually, Jack should be on his way out from battle training soon... "And you?"

"Same old, same old," Will sighed, "Actually, the hospital wing has been awfully busy this week, hasn't it?!" Will's face screwed into a mixture of pain and confusion. It was true, it had been. "Anyway, I've sorted everything out with my god parentals and school work is...meh," She sweeped her hair from her face. "Good, I'm glad things are going well with you and Jack," she smiled sweetly. I hate you...! were her actual thoughts of those two. Resentment. No issues. She should be happy for them but she couldn't. But the way those two moved around each other when they were together just did not bare thinking about...or seeing for that matter. "I'm so glad I do not have night shifts this week,"

Ignore the headache, Olivia, ignore it. She had an instinct that this was going to be a migraine. Ignore it. "Thanks," she smiled. "But yes, I have nights. I'm not really looking forward to it, to be perfectly honest," she added, smiling at the guy who had just wolf-whistled at her from the banister. "Though, I'm okay with staying up all night - it's when it's two nights in a row and you're not getting any sleep in between and you're working the whole time..."

"Yeah....sorry about that, don't worry, I can change it if you want...but then again I know you and Jack like those nights to talk...with each other," Will was resneting her by the second. "I'm doing night shifts all next week so, no worries," she added in a bright tone while trying to stiffle a laugh at the guy who wolf whistled at Olivia. "I've got to get the next lesson sorted too..." she sighed. She swore this would be the death of her sometime. That should be me in her place.... Don't think about it Will, it won't help. ...... Well, don't say I didn't warn yeh. "So, anything interesting pupils today?" she hadn't been paying much attention to any of the other patients other than the ones she was treating.

Olivia narrowed her eyes slightly, but realised that Will probably wasn't implying anything with that. "No, it's fine, I'm okay. After all, I'm not on night shifts for a while after this, anyway. It can be a little... irritating though," she said, delicately. "Not having any free time to spend with... well, you do shifts too, you know what it's like." Will would know what it's like. Especially with Anton, who also did shifts... But Olivia would never bring that up. Although Will had moved on from Anton, the heartbreak that that must have put her through... well, God. What if Jack died in battle? The thought made her turn cold immediately, a sense of horror filling through her, and she quickly forced the thought out of her head, answering Will's second question as fast as she could formulate the words. "Um... nothing especially interesting, really," she said. "Someone came in with their mouth suddenly bleeding like crazy, which was a little... strange... you?"

"Well, there was this one girl who came in with an elephants trunk and lemur ears...transforming can take a while to control by what I've seen but apart from that nothing majorly interesting," she concluded. They walked down the second flight of stairs before turning right into the main corridor were a couple were making out and others were hurrying towards the dining hall or the common room. "It feels like I've been here longer than a year," she said randomly.

Olivia glanced absentmindedly towards a couple of people making their way to the dining hall. "I wouldn't know how that feels," she said. "I've been here since I was twelve. For me, it has been a long time." And she loved every minute of it- well, maybe not, but anything was better than the estate she was supposed to call "home". Speaking of which, she hadn't heard word from Keith for a while, which was worrying. Perhaps he'd been picked up by the police; seeing as she doubted any positive movements in his personality and lifestyle. Still, she could hope - for his sake.

"Haha, yeah, it would," Will laughed. Despite her headache she was in a good mood. She had made up her mind on one thing at least. "I'm gonna give all the carers from first year to third year a test on what to do in an emergency. I want to see who needs to be in the hospital wing more often so they can see what to do," smiled inwardly. Though what type of emergency she hadn't quite decided yet. After all the best way to learn was too watch the olders ones and see how they dealt with it.

Olivia frowned. "Shouldn't everyone get a test, regardless of what year they're in?" Of course, Olivia and most other Carers her age - most - didn't need to take a test, but it never hurt to have the extra practice; and besides, it just gave them a chance to shine. And shining was what they liked to do. And Olivia liked training the younger ones - they looked up to her, and it gave her a warm buzz to feel respected. After all, she'd had a role model when she was young, and still did, and it was nice to be considered in the same way.

*Oh don't worry....I have something up my sleeve for the rest of us," after all, what kind of a Head would she be if she didn't participate with the of her group?! "Except, it's gonna be a mix of theory and practical," she said slightly thoughtful. Yes, her group should like what she had planned out for them all...although some of it wasn't up to her or her idea's. Thanks to Nurse Gornray, Will was going to be able to participate in it and at the end of it all a quiz was gonna be held with a certain time limit for each answer. "I might need your help for some of it though, if that's ok?"

Theory... eugh... now, why could Olivia think of better things to do with her time? Practical was fine, yes, but theory... "Sure, that'd be good." Maybe 'good' was a little of an exaggeration, mind. And her head was still really hurting. She raised her hand to her temple, trying to make the golden glow flow to make it even a little less aching, but it wasn't working so well... "What exactly did you have in mind?"

"What exactly did you have in mind?" Crap! Will couldn't think straight with a sore head but she tried. "Well the practical is going to be an emergency and then it's going to move on to having to do something within a time limit. The theory is going to be on different kinds of things, from the use of herbs in different magical medicinal puposes to those used in everyday life and they're going to have to explain fully how they were made and how they help the person. The thing is I want to make it challenging and I was going to ask you in that field," she hoped she made sense. To her she had just done another long ramble of hers. She turned the corner with Olivia and they were now nearing the entrance hall.
