Jack's head shot up. He hadn't expected that. He didn't know why... just... he hadn't... "Feel anything like this?" His mouth moved over hers; their breath mingling. "But just... when I kiss you... it kick-starts."

Jack's lips touched hers again, and Olivia's brain subconciously pushed her body closer to his. "Yes, like... like that," she admitted, before leaning forward, and kissing him very softly, murmuring "It feels nice," against his lips.

Jack's lips twitched into a smile; tickling the contours of hers, their lips were so close. "It feels better than that."

She smiled, her mouth moving against his again, her eyes watching his light up as he smiled. "Okay then... it feels very, very, very nice," she whispered.

"Olivia..." Did he mean this? Yes... it'd been a few months... been a few shaky months too. He didn't know enough about her for it to be true. Everything had been so physical so fast; it was hard to tell. And this was always just going to be a fling. Yet... "I think I might... I think I..." I... "I like you more than like."

Olivia frowned gently, studying his eyes carefully from this close point, her eyelashes almost brushing his. "You... like me more than like?" she asked, a little confused.

"You know..." He wasn't... He was. "I... blah, I love you, okay?!"

He - what? Olivia had never thought about love - not properly, anyway. She'd known that what she felt for Jack was past an infatuation... way beyond that... but she hadn't really admitted that to herself, with all the ups and downs and comings and goings... but love... It wasn't like ... cheesy move love. Or Elizbeth Bennet and Mr Darcy's love. Or Madeleine and Lee's love. But there was definitely something there... and Olivia was pretty certain that love it was. She tilted her head upwards to kiss his forehead, then letting her lips trail down, over the soft slope of his nose and down to touch his lips again. "I L-word you too," she murmured, breaking into a smile again.

Of all the cheek... Jack knew she meant it. Jack knew she... L-worded him too. And it felt good. They weren't Madeleine and Lee love but they were definitely... love, love, like some kind of love. They were the L-word. Halfway there. But Jack... he wanted the promise that they would go that bit further. And above all, above all, above all, he was to never, ever think of Sophie. Never Sophie, nor his instincts. Just the L-word, and Olivia. And who knows? After a while, it could work. Jack pulled away slightly, fixing his eyes on her. "That's cheating," he told her, a little wickedly. "You've got to say it."

Olivia laughed, rolling her eyes with a mock-sigh. "Fine then," she smiled, meeting his blue-grey gaze once more. "I... love you." She loved him. She really... really did. And this was the start of something new, wasn't it? Something... good. It was a little like a promise, that things wouldn't go as badly as they had last time. And that, really, was all she wanted right now.
