Tamika handed Will a card and took one for herself. "Dammit! 22, you win!" Tamika smiled, taking a gulp of her tea, now that it was cool enough to do so.

Tamika grinned and reshuffled the cards and handed two to Will once again and took two herself. "Hit or st... Hel-lo, fit bloke at 12 o'clock," Tamika said, looking towards the door. She stared for a couple of seconds but then went back to her cards, "So yes, hit or stand?"

Tamika picked up another card and thought for a moment before placing them upright on the table, "I got 21, what about you?" "19, dam!" Tamika did a little victory dance before shuffling again.

((Hope you don't mind, but I thought this would be a good thread to put Brads character in, and Tamika thinks he's fit, so all's good :] ))
Brad had just got off the train and walked into the centre of Carsdale. He was new and honestly had no idea where he was going. Looking around for something, some sort of sign showing where to go, he could see the school but wasn't sure how to get up there. After walking in circles for a couple of minutes he noticed a coffee shop that had books too, maybe they'd have a map? And he could do with a nice cup of tea at the moment anyways. Through his duffle over his shoulder, he made his way inside and to the counter. "What can I get you?" The young girl smiled. "Tea with milk and two sugars, please," he asked, setting the duffle by his feet. The girl nodded and went to prepare his drink. Brad looked around, taking in the atmosphere and type of people there. He saw some sitting alone reading, some discussing subjects over coffee, then he spotted two girls in the corner playing cards, looking like they had given up reading. "That'll be one pound ninety please." Brad was knocked out of his thoughts by the girl returning with his tea. "Oh, thanks," he smiled, taking a couple of coins out of his pocket and handing them to her, "Keep the change." He lifted his duffle and his cup of tea and walked over to the two girls playing cards. He arrived at their table and began to speak. "Excuse me, I'm new here and I was wondering if you mind if I sat with you? The only other seats available are with people who look like they wouldn't take too kindly to being disturbed," he asked, hoping they would say yes as the company he'd had the past train journey was a spider climbing on the window.

Will up at the guy. "What do ya think Tamika?" Will eyed her. Tamika tried her best not to look at the guy and turned the other way. "Yes you may," Will replied politley, "Sorry about her, she thinks your fit." Tamika shot her a nasty look and when the guy turned away to get a chair she raised her shoulders and mouthed "What?" to her. "So, what's your name?"

Brad grinned and set his bag down. "Well, it's nice to know I've got admirers before even being here half an hour!" Brad turned away to get a chair from a table with one person at it, then set it back at the edge of the table and sat down, taking a drink of his tea. "Oh, I'm Brad, and yourselves?" He looked at the girl that thought he was 'fit'. "She's not too bad herself..." He thought.

"I'm Tamika..." The normally confident girl said quietly. She picked up accents quickly and noticed she didn't really have her Russian accent anymore, but more of a neutral one, maybe why she was losing her confidence.

"I'm Will, Will Wright," she shook hands with him. Her german accenta still hadn't faded, well not much anyway. "So, are going to Orchid? If so what powers do you have?"

Brad shook Wills hand and smiled at Tamika. They were an odd pair, Will seemed to be the more confident, upfront of the two and Tamika the quiet, adorably shy one. "As a matter of fact yes, I am. I have water, shape shifting and telekinesis, what about yourselves?"

"Cool, my original powers are premonitions, molecular combustion and fire but I got one more and that was psychokenisis," Will looked at Tamika and sighed," and my usually talkitive friend has Fire, the Shining and pyschic medium," Will nudged her friend but she gave a quick glance at Will and then spoke up. "Excuse me, I need the loo," she walked of rather hurridly towards the girls room. "Sorry, she's not usually like this....I am," Will watched Tamika disappear behind the door.

"Oh really? If it's me I can go if you want? Not meaning to sound like I have a real ego..." Brad offered. If she was acting polar opposite because of him, he wondered why. He wasn't all that good looking, and he rarely got girls back in Auckland.

"Nah, you're fine, she's just being a total arse at the minute!" Will snorted. Ok, that time I swore I saw him! Will panicked a bit. What if Anton needed her help with something. What if he was in trouble. She needed to help him. But how?

Tamika left the table and shuffled into the toilets, she stood looking in the mirror at herself, mentally screaming. "What the hell is wrong with you, girl?! You're never like this over guys, and so little time after Pavel dying..." The last part brought a few tears to her eyes, she still blamed herself for his death. It was her fault he was here in the first place. Deciding not to dwell for the time being, Tamika took a couple of deep breaths and walked back to the table, sitting down drinking her tea again. She noticed Will had a look of worry on her face, "Are you ok, Will?"
