"No, everyone is entitled to their own imaginary friend," Kira said softly, picking up a magnifying glass and swivelling around to face them with it held to her eye. The blue iris swelled so that it looked like it was popping out of her head, but she didn't seem to notice the weird looks she was getting. "I wouldn't dream of consorting with your's."
"You have imaginary friends, Kira?" Jack asked keenly.
"Oh, yes," she said matter-of-factly. "Of course, I grew out of them, but I still have them. The unfortunate thing is, imaginary friends don't grow out of you. Oh, look! A kitty..."

Will stared at Kira as she followed the cat.
"Boo!" a whisper sounded in her ear. She jumped and spun around to be greated by 'Bob'. Thank god Jack had followed Jack. She grabbed 'Bob' byt the scruff of the neack a dragged him to a stall.
"I told you to shoo! So why haven't you shooed?" Will hissed.
"Oh, do you mean Jessen, I want you to bugger off until I call you back again type thing?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, that's exactly what I mean!" she hissed again.
"Well, la tee da, miss bossy pants!" he turned to leave but Will caught him by the arm and stood tip toes and their lips met again. She was pulled of her feet into an embracing hug.
"I'm sorry," she whispered on the way down again.
"It's fine, I-"
"WILL, WILL, WHO'S THAT?"

Jack really didn't miss a thing, did he?!
Kira swung around, dropping the hissing furball of claws to the ground. The cat landed primly on its feet and stalked off, its bald tail held aloft in hurt pride- only to be attacked by a nearby gaggle of toddlers.
The cat yowled for Kira to come back and rescue it, but she seemed to have disappeared.
"Hello, I'm Kira," she said brightly, diving in front of Will and thrusting her hand at this new- and rather hot- stranger. "And that's Jack."
"Hey," Jack nodded, his hands in his pockets.

"Erm...hi, nice to meet you...I think," Jessen stumbeled back at the force Kira had throwing her hand forward.
Will walked up beside her and rubbed her side, "You could have said excuse me, you know!" she muttered angrily.

"He must be," Jack laughed. "From Alabama!"

Jessen gave Will a quick glance and understood instantly.
"Yes, my name is Bob and I'm from west Alabama, it's nice to meet you Kira and Jack," he nodded at Kira and shook Jack's hand.
"See, I told you he was a figment of my imigination that others can see!" Will laughed.

Kira frowned at Bob for a couple of seconds. "Your name's not Bob."
Jack looked like he was fighting back the urge to clap sarcastically, and it annoyed Kira greatly. This guy- Bob or whoever he was- was starting to bug her. Hotness was no excuse for awkwardness.
A flare of hot, prickly anger washed over her like a cool, refreshing breeze.
"Do you go to our school?" she asked calmly.

Uh oh, Jessen picked up on her flinching and chose his words carefully.
"No, I don't, I live here in Cardsdale... and my name is Jessen, or Jesse whatever you want to call me." he eyed Will and she gave a tiniest hint of a nod.

"Jesse?" giggled Jack, but shut up immediately at the look Kira gave him.

Will, Kira and Jessen all glared at Jack.
"Hi Kira, it's really nice to meet you," he brought Will into a one armed hug.
"You find his name funny or something?" Will gave Jack a cold stare on the outside but was really giving him a warm smile on the inside.
Don't worry Jack, I had the same reaction too, when I first heard his name,
